  3. Can anyone sugest where i might purchase a replacement rib for my Teknys gold semi auto. I have tried G M K. 3 large supliers in the states.1 in italy no luck! The anoying thing is the rib is detatchable, and when the gun was first introduced it came with 2 ribs to give diferent impact points according to the old advertising, and yet without a dirrect order to Beretta ,involving a lengthy wait ,and probably a vast cost they appear to be unobtainable can anyone help in my search many thanks Webster
  4. Hi HDAV.you mentioned earlier in your post about being unable find steel proof (fleur de lis)on the gun .I had the same probs with my wifes gun .So sent a email to fairs with the serial no .Had prompt reply saying the symble was not stamped as a matter of course but only on request of the importer and that their guns over last 10 years were ok for steel providing no tighter than half choke and not heavy loads We all shoot Gamebore 24 grms 7s which do the job well and are the cheapest we can find hope this helps regards
  5. My wife shoots a Lincoln Premier Gold and so do my 2 daughter in laws( all 20 bores ) its a very good value for money gun in my humble opinion ,and Fairs the manufacturers couldnt be more helpful. The Premier Basic hasnt got the Gold Pheasant motiff on the action ,but what the heck , still a nice gun . The L P G is a multi choke the other 2 are Quarter and half as they wanted to shoot steels for economy reasons hope this helps

  15. hi Mfcus I had the same problem. My instructor sugested that I mou nt my gun at the break point and set my self up to feel comfortable, then twist from the hips back to my clay pick up point call for the bird pick up its line then using my hips to create momentum push through to create the lead pictrure. This works for me but I am sure you will some help from these guys on the forum there are some realy good shooters here good luck
  16. Hooray for the 20 bore . They are great guns comfortable to shoot and effective on clays and game Carts are a bit pricey!!We both use Gamebore steels for clays to keep the price down (no more than 1/2 choke) My wife has a lincoln premier gold which is very nice , Reasonably priced and available in a choice of standard or short stock for Ladies or Juniors .. Yes do have to be a bit more accurate but we are working on that with a lot of help..Real fan of the 20 bore!!!
  17. hi there utectok . I was interested in the comment you made regarding the instruction you received and being dissatisfied with it . Instruction can be costly and often lacking in basic instruction . By this I mean I am not so much interested wether I was infront or behind the bird ,as why and what do I do about it .Teach me how to read targets ,feet position on fast and slow tagets , gun hold ,pick up points ,mental attitude to competition. techniques that I can fall back on when things start to go wrong .As far as I am concernd a coaches job is to give the student enough tools in his or her box to eventualy make the coach semi reduntant If this type of instuction were give n at the begining and less emphasis on breacking clays .As you may gather by my coments I have been dissapointed by the level and quality of some of the instruction I have paid for regards Webster
  18. hi I am useing gamebore steels through my 20 b0re for clays they work fine ,but are filthy with unburnt powder in breech area have tried diferent batch numbers but are all the same . even warmed them by radiator the night befor useing them still same result . Do you have same with 12 bores ?
  19. hi guys . had a go at the dreaded loopers today , finally getting some where thanks for all your imput Webster
  20. This is a great explaination I will certainly give it a try I am assuming I pick up the clay swing down to the appropriate corner shoot and keep moving . Or do you guess the coner and rifle it ?
  21. Thanks Mungler I can work with that .It appears to a bit of guestimate to begin with, with out to much gun speed Is that a reasonable assumption? And to reply to coaches offer Thanks very much If I cant make any progress with this I could well take up your offer . My wife shoots as well and we have been to Wood Farm at Mere a few times. its about 1 hour 3/4 trip thanks to all
  22. Hi coach We are midway between Southampton Fareham
  23. any tips please on fast long aching loopers Iam stuggling. I am tying to shoot them as a crosser but cant get the sight picture right . webster
  24. I shoot clays with a 20 bore cyl &1/4 24 gram steels they kill anything my club throws I shoot steels for price reasons only , but prefer lead, the gamebore steels are filthy carts but they do the job Iam a fan of rhe 20bore but realise the prizes go to the 12 gauges it is a pain the carts are so expensive Cheapest Ihave found £146 per Thou steels 21gramm fibre£163 21s are quite something and worth a try, thy hold a tight pattern My wife shoots a lincoln Prm gold and was with the help of the instructor at Sporting Targets Cambridge breaking tower birds I offered to change the chokes ,but he assured us that the skeet and cylinder would do the job they were Eley V I P S and they did . He said they were renoun for holding tight patterns . You just have to be a bit more accurate with a 20 this is where I come unstuck , but they are a joy to shoot Keep the loads light and enjoy
  25. hi every one as a newbie to the forum please excuse if topic has already been discused .I shoot 24grams Gamebore Super steel 7s for clays through my 20 bore Berretta They are stored indoors in centrally heated bedroom So should not be damp .After 50 carts I can shake out the unburnt powder from the breech area and the barrels are filthy .I dont have misfires and they appear to bust the clays wellenough if I shoot staight .anybody suffer these probs with Gamebore 20 gauge? Any info greatly received Webster
