  1. Hi I have recently bought one of the trigger kits made and supplied by rimfire magic.

I am planning on using one of the springs for my 22 and one of the others for my 17.

The bit I dont quite understand is there are two shims in the kit. one coloured red and the other blue. Do I need to change these or will the spring change be enough?

If I need to change the shim what colour should I use and would the other colour be suitable for the other rifle? :look:

Thanks a lot in advance my head is spinning at the moment trying to work it out

the shims are to take up the free play in the trigger mech, most of the time you dont need to use them . have a look on you tube , its makes it so much eaiser to understand now to do the mod .just be very careful when pushing the pin out .( you might break the trigger )

  2. i got a set of at2 , the old style ones , but i have had to get another set of insa turbo special tracks as got stuck a few times ,but thats not the fault of the tyre as i was expecting too much from it ,but as a all round a/t tyre i would stick with the at2 .your just paying for the name on BFG's .

  3. cheap smelly dog food ,in jelly

boiled horse hoves ( juice ) work a treat it stinks

    rotten fish/meat

    tripe

and the best of all fresh rabbit guts .pop the guts tho .can be frozen the night before but not as stinky

thats my top 5 :good: and they are all proven in the field

  4. i have 2 spare springs and 2 brass tubes i have only used one of the springs out of the kit for myself , if someone can make use pm me and its first come first served basics. the springs are a very light one and one which is slightly less than the factory spring , i used the one inbetween the two . also comes with fitting instructions . and its FREE just spend me your address .its the rimfire magic trigger kit

  5. I have had 2 or 3 runners but why I don't know

1 when I found him about 75 yards away had the side of its skull missing

and the other had its front leg blown of and still ran that was the 243

most of the time use night vis so they don't even no they have been hit just drop

been told now that cant have fox on my ticket any more on 22 or 17 I did have at one point but not sure what happened after a variation came back with out

what my point was to the FEO and other your out bunny bashing with Hummer

you don't always carry my 204 with me just for the odd fox

so why if a fox turns up with in reasonable range why can't you shoot it you know it will be dead

if your license allows you to shot foxes with the calibre then fine go a head but is it really worth losing your license over ? remembering this is a open forum ,

  6. I'm having some trouble reloading for my .243 and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I've got an RCBS die set and when I seat the bullet it pushes the neck and shoulder out of shape. I'm using boat tailed bullets and the cases are once fired Prvi.

There's nothing wrong with the cases or the sizing die as I've seated a couple of rounds with my Lee Loader into cases already sized on the press and they're coming out fine. I'm also not heavy handed - if I can reload Hornet I should be able to do .243 without ******* it up!

Any ideas? I've set the dies to touch the shell holder plus a quarter turn. That's how I've always done it and I've never had trouble before?

it does seam that the seating die is compressing the neck of the case when pressed together , i use RCBS set up , maybe a few problems try winding the seating die out a bit to reduce the amount the bullet is seated into the case and measure the oal of the round.or maybe it has the incorrect internals in the die itself , it can happen as i have seen it with a lee die set before .

  7. i'm no expert bute

but I no what I can and cant do with every rifle I have

    and won't do dull shots

Clean Kill is A Must even if it is a pest or vermin :good:

In the right conditions will do some nice long shots with my HMR

on the funny side have you got Boar on your Ticket for 22lr can I ask if I can please

not funny at all when one of them run at you at the speed they do,

done my nut one day Deer shooting and one of them came out of the blue

you can only get experience from time and many people on here knows what each of there rifles can do . its just advice/experience we are trying to put accross to fellow members which are new to fox control . i have lost count on the foxes i have shot when using 22.250 ranges from 50yrd to 200+ and i have never had a runner yet .if people take offence then sorry ,but we all must take into account a clean kill MUST be optain on every pull of the trigger .after all that is what we are employeed to do or take up as a hobbie either way we all know the difference between what is right and wrong when coming to shot placement when range is a factor. yep boar are quick as hell but with a 308 they are not that quick. :D

  8. dawn and dusk is the best times, when lamping use a colour filter as its less sentive on rabbits eyes ( red , orange ) .just remember if your on foot to stalk them otherwise they will be off even before you get into range .wear anti russel clothing as some might hear your movements and try and walk with very light foot'ed as they can feel the tremmors in the ground , practice on a few and you wont look back . good luck your enjoy it :good:
