  1. Churchill's, Hinds Head Shooting Club - Waltham St. Lawrence, Four Counties - Newbury. Pretty much all of the clubs near me (Windsor) allow semi's J
  2. Hello All, I am infinitesimally confused with the BCA open day advertisement, Can anyone shed light on the Have-a-go shooting that they advertise as "famous" because i really want to take some inexperienced friends of mine to 'have a go' at the "Have-a-go" shooting they have there, but it says nothing on its set-up, do they have a set number of clays, do they have tuition, do they have to bring (my) their own guns? etc. Im going to have a pop at the sporting clays they have there for 16 quid for 60 clays, but I'm debating whether or not to let them (under my guidance) to have a few pops on there. Its all awfully confusing! J http://www.bca.ac.uk/events.htm#opendays
  3. My soon-to-be wife, uses a beretta s687 sporting 29.5" barrels, It's quite a light gun but if its married with some light cartridges its lovely to shoot. She is also able to shoot a few out of my 12g sometimes if I'm sensible with the cartridges. Shooting a 20g for both me and her only becomes an issue with heavier loads, if we have an argument i slip a black powder cartridge in her bag or some 30g cartridges in there haha! In my experience just choose the appropriate cartridges, she is currently using Lyavale Express 'Light comp' 21g 7.5's, and some gold 24g 7's which are lovely to shoot with. J
  4. Eley First - Fibre Wad 28g, 7s, about 4.50GBP per box of 25 Gamebore Kent Velocity - Fibre Wad 28g 7.5, about 4.30 GBP per box of 25 I shoot with Gamebore's Blue diamond cartridges for clays, I got 1000 for 120 quid as a bin end on Justcartridges.com J
  5. I'm also in a bit of a flap about the way it has been worded, Par example: If I were to drive there in my car and had 3 other passengers, is the entry fee per car £10? and If I was to shoot 60 sporting I am only eligible for the £10 discount from the standard £16 charged to shoot? and furthermore, if my father (who has never done clays before) were to partake in the "Have-a-go" clay shoot what would happen then? Does anyone know what "Have-a-go" clays entails? I assume its 10 clays or so under supervision or guidance from a BCA member of staff. And the only other thing which I worry about is that I'm going to be taking my guns that day and don't plan on leaving straight after the shoot, as the female members of my family want to peruse the menagerie of baby animals on display! I can't believe that I can't figure this out! haha
