  1. I have used a few seats over the years, some good some ****, i now use a fox warrior carp fishing chair, which i have adapted for the hide, by removing the backrest, part off the chair, which you do not need, and put the rear folding legs, further forward to whare the backrest bolted on, you end up with a sort of stool which is very comfortable, and light to carry, but the best thing about it is that all four legs are adjustable for hight, so you can alter each leg, to make it level, and stable, in no time, as most hedgerows are seldom flat, and usualy slope towards the field.
  2. cheers for the info deny, looks like a few hours in the shed then, but worth the effort,
  3. Hi does anyone know where i can buy spring sticks adapted to fit FUD'S, i have made 3 myself, to use with dippa units, that i copied off you tube, but they are fiddley to make, and would prefer to buy the real thing, if there is any body retailing them. any info much appreciated, Cheers Mick.
  4. Hi everyone, thanks for your replies, and advice, i guess it comes down to, I won't know if it will work for me untill i try one, i think i will take the advice of PAV331 and tape it on, and try it, before i stick it on permanently because i have read on reveiws that once they are stuck on, they are a real pain to remove, then if it dose not work for me i can sell it on Ebay, I already have one on order, from an online shop, so would not be able to return for a refund, as stated. Anyway think positive it might just do what it says on the tin. Cheers Mick.
  5. Hi, has anybody tried or uses an Easy Hit shotgun sight, i am thinking of giving one a try, to see if i can shoot with both eyes open, instead of closing my left eye as i have always done, for a number of years, i am axpecting that the switch will not be easy, as i will automaticly want to close my left eye, when mounting the gun. Any advise would be appreciated, Mick.

  7. Anyone know why nppc talk has disapeared of the forum lists,
  8. Hi thanks for the info, suprised to hear it does no harm to peas, 3 - 4 weeks is about what i guessed, cheers mick.
  9. Hi i posted the same question a few weeks ago, and had a good responce, i was recomended to try the primos power crow, i bought one, and tried it for a couple of sessions on rooks, it did work, and managed to turn a few, that were flying past, to come back for a closer look at my deeks, but having said that, i could not get the raspy crow sound, every time, i called with it, the trouble is you can't just take it out of the packet, and blow it, if you do, it sounds like a cross between a dogs squeeky toy and a duck, you have to practice and as you blow, make a sort of growling noise, from your chest, it then sounds very realistic, but i found it hard to do consistantly, and it also gradualy filled with saliva and stopped working, untill i took it apart and cleaned it, i have now given up on it, and sold it on fleebay, i now use my mobile, i have downloaded some carrion crow, rook, and jacdaw calls, onto my music files and play them instead, it works great, but could be even better if i could boost the volume a bit more, but dont let me put you off giving one a try, some people get the hang of it, and use them to great effect, in the right hands they are the dogs bxxxxxxs, i just found it to much hastle, hope this is of help to you, cheers mick.
  10. Hi , i have been shooting over some peas, but they are now about 15"- 18" high and are starting to flower, pigeons are still feeding in tram lines, and short patches, but it is not easy to pick up kills without doing a lot of damage to the crop, so i have decided to leave them for a while, untill the field is harvested, and then shoot over stubble. My question is how long would you estimate, before they will be ready to harvest, cheers mick.
  11. Hi imperfection & nickbeardo, thanks for info, think i will give one a try,
  12. Hi does anyone have any second hand flush choke tubes, to fit my lincoln No 2 interchoke, O/U 12 guage, the tubes are identical to look at, as chokes for the lincoln premier, but the threads are different, the tubes for mine have a slightly finer thread. if anyone has a quater / half, choke tube, or both, i would be interested in in buying them, if the price is reasonable, and they are close enough to collect, i live near Rotherham South Yorks, cheers Mick,
  13. Hi guys, which crow call would you recomend, for decoying rooks, ? i would like your views on which make / brand, sounds the most realistic, as most are in blister packs and you can not try before you buy. cheers Mick.
  14. Hi thinking of trying hull special pigeon, 30gm 6s, are they as good as gamebore clear pigeon,? cheers Mick.
  15. Hi hawkeye, thanks for info, it makes sense, farmers want pigeons, off their crop whatever it is, can you put me right about field lists, do you get a spring crop update list sent out, or just one in the winter, for the forthcoming year. cheers Mick.
