  1. I thoroughly recommend the fx cutlass aka logun dominator, superb rifle and my go to pcp, I also strangely love my hatsan sniper mod 125 both in .22, Both are highly tuneable , the fx is the smoothest pcp I've handled, superb quality and quality engineering, maybe possible for the budget
  2. Hello chaps, I've just picked up a n old bsa supersport with the DS year code, from what I can make out its a 1986 model, It's in need of some service parts so I thought why not give it a tune up, however is there any suppliers of tuning kits, breach seals and piston seals etc etc? Thanks in advance Andi
  3. No mate, if they are not on ther car they can not be tested, if they are on the car and rubbing the disc they can be a fail, when I used to build volvo's many years ago I always left them off. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along but I'm certain you don't need them
  4. I've a hatsan at44-10k for sale comming up soon, safety catch doesn't auto reset but the gun is perfect otherwise, can be seen in Matlock or Alfreton, with scope - bsa contender, x2 mags and sling, currently has jack pyke tough tape on the stock. in .22 £225, soon to be on gunstar, pm me for details and pics
  5. I'm going to be honest here chaps, I'm re-training to be a mobile dog groomer. I've worked in the stunt industry earning stupid amounts of money, then the engineering industry earning well but having to do stupid hours and almost 150 miles a day round trip commute. I've a mate who does the grooming and the living he makes is good to very good. I've always clipped my own etc and thought I'd prefer the lifestyle that he enjoys. So I need a van I can stand up in and add a lining to etc, I won't be carting alot of weight around and I won't need to be doing massive miles per day at high speed, I live in norfolk they haven't heard of good quality roads here yet.
  6. Thanks chaps, I'm interested in seeing what the Maxus high top, movano (etc) Maxi roof and sprinter high top are like.
  7. I'm hopefully going to get back into the perfoming industry but no not yet! Thanks chaps, I'm going to go and have a look at some vans today if I can get a chance
  8. Hello chaps,I've decided to have a go at another career and I need a van I can use as a mobile workshop. I think I'm stuck with LWB Maxi roofs or L3H3 vans. Can anyone recomend any other options? Cheers chaps
  9. that's the 3rd report on the value max being a splatter gun that I've heard mate. Go Hatsan dude!
  10. hatsan striker or sniper, great guns and really cheap, yanks have them at 1000fps
  11. Thanks matey, I've looked at the modified valve pin, to be honest it's not worth the risk for me as the local police are rural bobbies and know the law. I want to get as close to 12ft/lbs as possible without going over. Cheers dude
  12. Hello chaps, well after seeing a thread on here about the hatsan at44 and remembering that i had one I've decided to fit a regulator from ebay, robert lane . My question is this, has anyone fitted one to this rifle, if not has anyone fitted one of the the robert lane ones? Are they easy enough to fit? I've no fear of taking the rifle to bits and have a chrono etc to stay legal. Cheers chaps Andi
  13. I'll be there as a billy no mates I reckon, but I can yap to anyone
  14. I have to admit I favoured my at44 over my s410 90% of the time when I had the AA as I don't worry about knocking the stock or getting the rifle wet as the hatsan will never really be worth that much secondhand anyway, where as the s410 seems to attract owners who love the rifle to be perfect and any scratch or mark really effects the price. Both did the same job, equally as well as each other, the s410 did suffer once from the barrel clamp getting knocked and moving the barrel way off and runing the zero, the at44 is fairly robust in the regard.
  15. Hello chaps, is anyone going to the Easter Sunday day up at Taverham? I've never really done the club thing as I generally just shoot on the land where I live but I fancy a day out but I really don't know anyone with rifles in Norfolk and I thought I'd give a shout to see if any PW members were heading over. Andi
  16. This post has just reminded me I own an at44-10! I've just been around the farm with it, I have to admit it's a great gun. Off to ebay now to buy a couple of studs to fit a sling to it
  17. You can reset the ECU using a set procedure from the drivers seat, it helps with mpg and helps stop the injector rattle. I've built a hell of alot of cars and trucks in the last 10 years from the chassis up and I have to say it's a pleasure to work on the D40, I'll be ripping mine apart over the summer to galv the chassis and fit new polybushes, suspension lift kit, bodylift kit and arctic arches, wheel spacers and wheels. Hopefully it should end up a decent toy
  18. Got one here aswell mate, Aventura top of the range spec, on a 56 plate, I haggled the price to six grand trade sale from a nissan contact I have. FSH, black, back cover etc etc. They are known for ALOT of problems, however all vehicles always have a degree of problems, mines had: rear axle, front hubs, trnasfer box, 3 4x4 switches on the dash, 2 turbos and the usual recalls, ie new wheels yesterday and seat wiring harnesses. However, it's a bloody good truck returning a constant mpg no matter how I drive. Test drive one, so long as it starts well with no smoke, pulls hard, steers without knocking, etc etc it'll be a good truck. Mine has just developed a the door actuator problem (can't open it from inside) so I'll rip it apart next week and fit a secondhand unit from ebay. Servicing is very easy if you can wield a spanner etc. I fully serviced mine for about £80, £120 with pollen filters and gearbox oil (I get trade) Nissan quoted me £319 for front brakes and discs yesterday, however I ordered the parts from Andrew Page for £90 and I'll be fitting them in a few days. Go for it mate, It sounds stupid but a new engine isn't that expensive when it eventually dies and they are really easy to fit. Best of luck
  19. Hello chaps, I've seen a couple of links in the past about home brew NV setups, however I can't seem to find them now. I think they used a 7" reversing camera and a few other bits, mainly from china/hong kong etc Does anyone have any links that they have saved as I really fancy making a homebrew setup to see how it goes Cheers Andi
  20. Please consider the FX Cutlass in walnut thumb hole, in .22 28ft/lb it's brutally accurate, adjustable in 3 power settings, 12,20,28 from the side wheel. Light and accurate, stunning to look at etc. Can you tell I have one Really underated rifle as most people buy the standard run of the mill theobans, daystates webleys etc and don't try the FX range, also known as Logun dominators. 8 shot, easy to service, parts available in the UK from ASI (Simon)
  21. Yup, nothing scary about it, I can't remember the exact procedure but I stripped my s410 to the nuts and bolts to check everything over when I bought it, really easy to strip as I remember Go on be brave
  22. Meet Wiggles aka Jess or Breckswood Emerald, my rescue ESS, she's a great pet but no working dog, I'll post a pic of the pup I kept from her litter in a mo
