  1. no joy at this shiremoor farm.so i get there and knock on what i think is the farm house,a little old lady comes to the door ah sorry this isnt the farm and ive no idea where the farmer lives,ok so i see a pub in the village, bound to find out here.so i ask landlord,he says what do you want the farmer for,so i says to ask if i can shoot on his land,er no idea goodbye.so i see a riding school near by,ok lets ask there.hi can you tell me where the farmer/landowner lives, why what do you want,so i told her,so she says you cant shoot round here its a residential area im a ex police officer,so i says well thats good cos you will know that its legal as long as your a certain distance away from residential area and you have permission.nooooo she says we dont want guns round here, she was the type you wouldnt say hello to on a lonely day.so thats the end i have no transport and that was the only place near me that was any good for hunting.
  2. ive never tried pheasant is it nice ?.ive tried rabbit but i didnt like it,ive heard pheasant is very nice.
  3. lol absolutly no chance mate.these lakeland terriers are best cossed with border terrier.he was bought as a family pet so its no big deal that i cant work him.
  4. years ago i saw a white starling,i did a bit homework and found it could have been a rose coloured starling, then again these can only be found in america so maybe like the crow on this thread was just a albino.
  5. ive got a lakeland terrier and boy is it a hard case.once he got a hold of a staffy bull terrier and put its eye out,the staffy was squelling like a pig there was claret every where.now when i take him out he has to be muzzeled other wise ill get chinned off some dog owner lol.when i first got him i took him to a field near where i used to live.its wick with rabbits so i let him off the lead BAD MOVE.took me 4 hours to catch him,i only caught him cos he fell in a ditch n couldnt get out hahahaha.that was 7 years ago hes never been off the lead since lol.hes real little villan he will fight anything heart like a lion.

  15. yeah i wouldnt go shooting up tunstall now or anywhere else without permission.i used to shoot on the farmers land next to tunstall hill, the farmers name was rolly (used to talk funny) but he died and his son richard owns the farm now.anyways its rubbish on his farm as i went there for 4-5 years and only seen a handfull of rabbits and theres not many wood pigeons and a few partridge's,the tunstall hill woods is the place for rabbits.i remember years ago i used to sit under the trees in tunstall woods and make a call exactly like a wood pigeon's call, then pick them off as they landed near by lol.great days they were,i dont have a gun now but if i get permission ill get one.the guns i had years ago were bsa super airsporter s and a webley tracker.the tracker was a good gun as it was small and great for power.back in the day air arm guns were the best but were dirt expensive £600 for bottom of the range.there was a german make aswell called wierach (might have spelt that wrong) my mate had a hw80 cracking gun that was.
