  1. 16 yesterday and 8 today over a drilled field New Total = 17796
  2. Hull do varnished paper cased cartridges in their three crown load, and eley also still make a paper cased cartridge called classic game. Gamebore also have a paper case option for their pure gold cartridges.
  3. I got a franchi raptor a while ago and i can't fault it never missed a beat and it came with a 3 year warranty 3 chokes and a carry case
  4. Thanks for the advise. The vixen and cubs can often be seen playing on an old rabbit warren so i'm probably going to wait up there to try and get them
  5. he certainly did. I did as well, quite a recoil from it even through the semi.
  6. I use gamebores super game high bird in 32grams 6's or 5's knock things down fine with them
  7. My friends dad has lost a couple of lambs and some chickens over the past week which he is understandably annoyed about as the chickens are his main source of income as he sells free range eggs, so i went up this evening to see if i couldn't get the fox or foxes that where causing the problem i spotted a vixen and 3 cubs about 150 yards away which where not interested in the call when a big dog fox came up behind my friend who was sat further back from me, the fox looked at my friend and then wandered off so i headed in the direction he went in only to find him layed down 15 yards away looking at me not bothered in the slightest so theres one less now anyway. He must of been quite an old fox as he had pratically no teeth. Shot with 50grams of BB's
  8. It was a cage trap so it looks like i won't get him in there again. Can't use an air rifle unfortunatly, this rabbits in their front garden so it's right on the road. He's not been back for a couple of days so with any luck it will stay that way and he may have been scared off the garden.
  9. I've been trapping some rabbits in my neighbours garden as they're destroying her veg and flowers and i've got 3 so far, I've just caught a 4th but heres the problem as i was taking it out the trap it some how kicked free and the next thing i know its running off , so i'm obviously feeling rather stupid at the moment but what i want to know is, is there any chance of me catching it again in the same trap or will it be understandably scared off the trap now, and if so would maybe covering it up in grass etc to hide it work or do i need to find another way to trap this one
  10. I buy mine from scats country stores or from my gunsmiths. For the 20 bore i normally use 25 or 28 grams of 6's usually gamebore or express for rabbits and pigeon
  11. I brought my 712 a few months ago and i clean it every time i use it, all except for completely removing the breech bolt and cleaning it which i do every so often either after a lot of shots or when it looks like dirt etc may have got in it, best to keep it well cleaned its less likley to fail to cycle that way. I Just followed the routine maintenance section of the instruction book.
  12. I sometimes put crow decoys amongst my pigeon decoys i usually put them to the side of the main pattern not to close to the pigeon decoys. I don't always use them as sometimes i find it can actually put the pigeons off so sometimes i'll put them out but then have to take them in again but other times it actually seems to encourage the pigeons in with a bit more confidence, i think it must make the pattern look more natural, and obviously it brings the odd crow over. I find it works best when crows and pigeons often feed together where i'm decoying
  13. Yep ours have hammocks in their outside run and they cost us nothing to make we just took some old teatowels and attached them to the top of the run by each corner, we also use to have one that rustled which they used to love and spent all day jumping in and out of it and squirming around in it just to make it rustle.
