i have just read elsewhere on the world wide web , that our clothes give off UV light , if this is right maybe when we are trying to hide behind bits of camo net, woodie can see us anyway. has anybody got any light on the subject ( get it , any light ------ oh well ) i need to buy a new jacket , and want to make sure it doesnt light up the whole field. eagerly await anybodys sensible input.

went out this morning for the first time in weeks . had to try out my christmas present from the missus , sillysocks. it took me 2 1/2 hours to find the pigeons , they were on the rape , last place i looked. the socks worked , they pulled the woodies in no problem. but only got 2 out of 12 shots, must be all that christmas pud. also the weirdest thing happened to one of the socks , a kestrel attacked it , not once but twice he must have wondered what the hell was going on. i suppose its a lot to do with the U.V. light . anyway although there wasnt a lot of woodies about today, the socks pulled the few that were about. cant wait untill next week to try now they are back on the rape. anybody else had any luck with the sillysocks.

hi, i know its a long shot but, i have a MOSSBURG 3 shot pump action .410 shotgun.chambered for 3" magnums as well as normal carts. bought it second hand from barnet gunshop back in april 2005 as my first gun. soon outgrew it , so it didnt really do any work , maybe 150 carts since i had it. if your interested email loz.roberts@ntlworld.com. cheers.

there are 3 woods , they all end on my boundry fence , i cant go on the land between the woods. and theres no food at the moment to draw the pigeons onto my side of the fence.

just got back from a full days pigeon shooting , or not, it turned out to be watch them instead. my permission of about 400 acres has 3 biggish woods down one side , (which im not allowed in ) and about 1000 pigeons were flying from one to the other to the other and back all day. no matter what i tried i couldnt tempt them to my decoys. although to be honest there is no food for them on the fields i shoot. and there must be loads of natural food for them in the woods. could i be cheeky and ask if anybody else has the opposite could i come with them, i have all my own gear, 303 sa , and lots of enthusiasm . cheers. my decoys are looking a bit tired and need repainting. ive tried grey primer etc,but it all seems to shine, is there a make of paint that other shooters have tried that does the trick. many thanks.
