  1. Thanks Dave, Just this second managed to hunt his details down. Thanks again for the suggestion tho'
  2. Hi, I'm off to Harrogate this weekend, and planning to shoot clays on the Saturday afternoon, with a couple of friends I spoke to a guy near to knaresborough, I think his name was Stuart ?, but have lost his details, and can't find them again on google. Does anyone have any contact details they could let me have ? Thanks in advance. Andy
  3. Hi, Does anyone know of a game dealer in Derby, that buys in (small quantities) of woodies ? Thanks in advance !
  4. I suppose at least I'm saving on cartridges !
  5. On my permission, I'm plagued by buzzards, every time I set up, within 30 minutes, they turn up and impose a "no fly zone" (and not just the one either) anyone else aware of an increasing number this year ?
  6. Anyone know where would be a good place to get an in line air & moisture filter for my stirrup pump ?
  7. I was in belper gun & tackle the other day, he had a 2nd hand innova in, but I just noticed you've already got sorted.
  8. Think I'll have a hunt round for a jack pyke stockist, and try some of this kit, Thanks all Andy
  9. Yes, have looked at the Jack Pyke ones, have some of their gear, but can't find a local stockist (other than go dive-who are total **** heads !) where I can try them for arm length.
  10. I'm looking for a camo long sleeved t shirt, but the problem is, I'm 6'3", and about 46" chest. I'd like to use it in the summer as a shirt, and in the winter as an undergarment. All the ones that fit me snuggly across the chest and shoulders end up half way up my arms. Anyone else had this problem ? Or can reccomend a brand to try ? Thanks Andy
  11. Waste of cartridges !....2 per week, that's over 100 in a year ! ....or am I just being tight
  12. Some very valid points, thanks. I did in fact shoot in a t shirt, as opposed to a skeet vest today, Also, because it was DTL, I could well have been lifting my head when using the second barrell. (I normally shoot sporting, so as such, don't often begin with the gun mounted) Think I may go down the route of getting someone to video me, and see if there are any obvious clues, that is if this happens after my next round of sporting. Thanks again all Andy
  13. Shot 50 today, and at about no 30ish, started getting a very sore cheek bone, which, obviously was accentuated by the recoil, could this be a gun fit issue ? Has anyone else had this, and if so, how did you cure it ? Had the gun about 6 months, and this is the first time I've felt it. It may be relevant, but I was shooting DTL for the first time
  14. The decoys elevated on canes worked well, right up until a pair of buzzards decided to enforce a no fly zone (one of them cruising about 60 feet above my decoys, thought it was going to come down at one point !) Farmer's given me a new patch to try next week, where the pigeons hammered the OSR earlier in the year, but the canes proved a good experience, thanks all for the advice.
  15. Yeah, best of luck mate, but to be fair, in my experience, luck doesn't come into it, with your attitude, you'll make a great keeper. Oh, and when I win the lottery, you can come and run my shoot. All the best
  16. Yes, I believe so, unfortunately, I only found this out after parting with my cash, don't want anyone else to get caught out,
  17. For those local to Derby, a word of warning regarding Go Shoot also known as Go Dive. Purchased a pre owned pcp them at the end of Feb returned after a week due to loosing pressure, been back another twice since, same problem. Will not entertain a refund, or complete any repairs, have now taken it to a third party for test and logging before beginning a claim in the county court. Just a heads up for anyone thinking of spending any hard earned in there !
  18. Thanks all, got a couple of bouncers coming Friday, not shooting until Tuesday morning, so time to get some canes over the weekend. Will let you know how it goes.
  19. I charge £38 to plunge a blocked drain, normally takes about 15 minutes. That's £1 for plunging, and £37 for knowing how to do it without knackering the waste pipe joints. Oh, and normally, when people are really grateful, I just say, give us £30.
  20. Cos my name's Andy, and er..............I'm a plumber !
  21. Yes, I'll try the bamboo canes, The only area that had been "stripped" by the birds is in a bit of a hollow, tried it down there Monday and Tuesday evenings, but no joy, concluded, I can't see them, ergo they can't see my decoy pattern, the nett result was only got one shot off both nights. Can I assume the general consensus is decoying in a dip isn't a good idea ?
  22. The rape is growing fast on my (only) permission, is there any mileage in elevating my decoys on longer pegs, so that they clear the crop, and try to get another couple of days shooting in next week ?
