I just use old aluminium welding rods cut into sections about 8 inch long with a sharp point ground on one end then sprayed with grey primer.
I keep aboy 40 in a old 500ml drinks bottle to save sticking them in my hand when delving into the bag.

Hi All
I am new to the forum and reside in the lincs/cambs/norfolk border area, i used to pigeon shoot quite a bit a few years ago and have a best bag of 220,for about the last three or four years I have not gone as much as i would like mainly due to dwindling permissions and lack of time.
But after looking though this forum it has wetted my appertite for it again so I decided to dust the gear off and have a go, I am lucky enough to have a poular sitty tree just a short walk from my door so after setting out a few shells and knocking up a quick hide against the tree I sat back and awaited my first customer,he duly arrived about ten mins later and I promptly missed with 2 shots !, after that birds came quite regular and seemed to decoy quite well onto the wheat that I had placed the decoys I started to get the odd one between missing and eventually started to shake off the cobwebs and start knocking them down on a more regular basis anyway to cut a long story short I ended with 38 birds for 53 shots so I was quite pleased at the end result,I certainly have the bug again now and intend to get out and try and find some more permissions.

Magnet technique
in Pigeon Shooting Tips
Posted
I have owned a magnet for a few years now and have to say that I find the best place for it is in the back of the van !!!!!!.
They just seem to make the shooting harder in my eyes, I much prefer a couple of dead bird flappers to add movement I run 1 on a timer and have a second on a remote. The magnet for me is a last resort when things are getting desperate.
