  3. Do they tend to sagg near the pistol grip? I dont want it to look like a sloppy fit that catches
  4. Thinking of getting one of these for quick reloading when out in the field, however ive read a couple of things that have put me off. They tend to be baggy/loose fitting towards the fore-end of the stock and slip forward. I will be using it on my Escort. http://www.amazon.co...=I1U7AO55VVKIN8
  5. Yes they are, now I feel like an idiot. At least im more than aware of every mark which could matter.... Thanks for the help people
  6. So shot 25 rounds through my new gun and under the first clean and oiling I noticed a mark down (inside) the barrel when I inspected them which looks related to the welding of the barrel fixing ring on the outside as show in the diagram, the red line shows the location and size of the mark inside. Do you have the same mark in the same area of yours? It looks like a ding or corrosion found on an older gun, but its not old enough nor have I dinged it, any ideas?

  11. Yes they are loose there's a definite wobbling going on between the barrels and face
  12. Ive had it valued at 400/500 quid, I paid £500 for it some time ago, worth getting it done? I phoned another gun smith (Elderkin and son) he quoted me £60 for the fitting plus £30 for a pin, I'll perhaps go with him as long as the price doesnt go up
  13. So as some of you know I have a loose gun where the for-end will fall off if using a heavy cartridge (without the fore-end the barrels are wobbly on the action), it's a AYA No3 Magnum 1984 and I've been quoted £200 to have it tightened which involves a new pin and quite a bit of time, is this expensive or normal? First time I've needed this kind of repair so I don't know what the norm is.....
  14. What do you guys have for general walk around shooting in the fields/woodland. Im considering these two, any experiences? I require it to be shower proof and wind proof http://www.amazon.co...d=I9G3BKWV0F2UP http://www.amazon.co...=I34LKWODMZIIV7 Up to £100
