  2. Also check your crankcase pressure. SOme old Mercs were pressurizing while using it, and started using water injection to get rid of it.
  3. I think that people need to get past religion. I don't think that anyone should call Islam a religion because it is not a religion. It is a life plan. The US will not get anywhere with Islam until they realize that it isn't a religion, and treat it for what it is. When laws are made to ban the influence of Sharia Law, and people stop calling it the "Religion of Peace", and read and repeat that it's okay for Muslims to lie and cheat non-Muslims, because they don't matter, and the only reason to befriend a non-Muslim is to further the Muslim cause, then the US and others will get somewhere. I won't get into the deification of the pedophile.
  4. If you haven't been to Japan, Lost in Translation makes much less sense. Starship Troopers was a commentary on Nazi Germany. I liked it.
  5. How does the 17hm2 barrel shoot? To the OP, if the Quad fits, and you feel comfortable not having an action for all of your barrels, and you can get used to resighting for different barrels, go for the Quad. If not, then don't. Will someone else be likely to join you? Will an extra gun be more useful than the extra space, meaning grab case number 2 and open it, as compared to grad allen wrench, release barrel, install new barrel, tighten allen wrench, reload magazine or change magazines, rezero scope with chart or shooting.
  6. 7th year. You could get a job teaching English. That would be the easiest way.

  7. Hi mate,

How long have you lived in Japan? Ive been travelling around shikoku and Kansai a while ago. I wish I could find some way to live in Japan because I loved it and always have. Take it easy buddy Jo

  8. I was just on youtube, and noticed that there were quite a few people from the UK popping pigeons and others with rimfires and airguns, so I thought should post a list of my bird guns. RWS 850 with LDC LIke the pic except without the HPA tank yet Savage MKII FV in 17HM2 with a BV stock waiting Savage MKII heavy barrel in benchrest style stock with 8-32 BSA. It's got a DIP 25 MOA base and a Millett LRS-1 scope waiting for it. I have to decide if I want to chop it down to 16.5" and thread it and get the NFA trust paperwork and a suppressor, or just leave it alone, and last, the big boomer Belgium Browning A5 in 12ga. Haven't even seen it yet. My grandfather found one on the highway in a gun case during hunting season long before I existed, and I loved it to death. When he died the guns were split up and my aunt who doesn't hunt got it. So my father bought me another one.
  9. Mental exam, yearly unannounced inspection, wildlife test, including animal names and mating. Only citizens, and you can't have a rifle until you have spent 10 years with a shotgun. It is probably viewed similar to the way others view whale "research" here. Sorry Woodcock, the Great White hunter is a phrase I have always heard, and being white would mean not Japanese, and not Japanese means no hunting. I have hunted pigeons in TX(home state) before, and see the varmint animals as something easier to hunt in the future than big game.
  10. Not too many hunters here. Especially Great White hunters. Sure would love to though
  11. I am an American living in Japan. Heading back to the states in April of next year. As a sociologist and noticer at heart, I like to see how different people do the same thing. I know that there isn't much in Japan, but I found ausvarmint after a talkcast last year, and found out about this from I think crowbusters. Just wanted to say hi, and see if I can be somewhat beneficial as a member.
