If the OP meets the requiremetns he won't be 'dodging tax', simply avoiding it as the law allows.
Most people practice tax avoidance throughout the year - it is lawful and not immoral. When someone factors, for example, car tax into a choice of purchase that is a form of tax avoidance. Savings, inheritance planning and so on are all forms of lawful (and sensible) tax avoidance. Tax evasion is another matter and increasingly these days people are almost deliberately confusing the two.
If someone has a tractor, classed as Agricultural and thus zero rated for road tax the law allows them to use red diesel for agricultural or forestry purposes provided they meet the categories shown in this article. https://www.fwi.co.uk/machinery/red-diesel-rule-changes-hmrc-spells-out-dos-and-donts
What your saying is absolutely right, at no point have I said I am trying to dodge any tax, from the looks of how it’s been set up now I won’t qualify to use red diesel any more. Thanks for all the helpful links and advice.

So you have bigger toys and a larger area to play in, but aren't in agricultural production.
I still don't see why you should dodge tax?
Stick to your little cabbage patch, you have no idea what your talking about

I thought that I offered a helpful suggestion.
Recycled chip shop oil was very cost effective.
I have a large 4wd case tractor , seeing how much it costs to maintain it I wouldn’t want to risk chip oil even if I could get enough.

You get a few good helpful replies on here to start with then it’s all down hill

I can use it in my boat for heating but not propulsion. I need receipts if I take it to Europe as they are not allowed to use it.
And how much more is it costing you to run your boat on white diesel

As a total townie, when I cut my grass, I pay full fuel tax on the petrol in my mower.
Similarly, when I use my wife's vehicle to get fertiliser for her veggie patch or building materials for maintenance, that too uses full tax fuel.
Why should your situation be different if you are not actually farming?
Because it’s attitudes like yours that accept that we just get ripped off all the time in this country , I also have considerable more than a veggie patch to tend to.

Is it registered with the DVLA for agriculture use?
Yes, but I only use the tractor for grass cutting and general maintenance around the property, it’s not business use just personal on my land. I have used up the last drum of red I had , it’s costing me a lot more in white diesel now to do the same jobs.
-
Looking at the form to fill in it does look like I won’t be able to use it, why was this allowed to go through under so called green issues again when it’s clearly a government cash cow again.
-
How do you qualify for using Red Diesel now, I have a few acres of land that I use my tractor on, no road use, would that qualify now, I have been using white but it’s getting expensive to use in my case tractor. I used to buy some off a mate who used a lot of red in his excavator but he has to use white now and pass the cost on.
Thanks

There was a program a while back about a Bulgarian small holder.
Came to England claimed various benefits whilst driving round in a van everyday collecting and selling scrap.
Then returned home to collect his pregnant wife to have the baby here followed by further claims for child benefits.
Has now returned home with over £40000 and bought more land and still receives various benefits.
Yes I remember this as well, the closest my TV had come to being smashed , unbelievable.

I have had few different makes and Honda have been the best in my opinion.

I have been looking at the walnut grade 2 stock one, they don’t appear to be available at the moment, what’s the useable shot count.

I remember once doing a talk to an OAP group and I was asked why their plastic Heron did not keep the real thing away ? I managed to convince the lovely lady that she had bought a 'Female' plastic Heron, and as such was attracting Male Herons to her pond. She planned on taking it back to the shop to exchange it ! 😊

I've got a Golf R had it since 2020. Just look out for leaking water pump issue! I had mine fixed under warranty but it can be expensive to fix. Other than that fingers crossed no issues.
The one I am thinking of buying has just had the water pump done, its a Golf GTI clubsport, I believe these were made In limited numbers , having a test drive soon, I want to compare it to my 997 that I recently sold, from what I’ve been told the gear changes are very quick on the auto

Our Country gets more like a dictatorship every day. The stupidity of the laws they are bringing in with these electric cars beggars belief, remember a few years ago when were told Diesel fuel was the way to go and all the manufacturers made Diesel cars. We should have the choice , Petrol, Diesel or Electric.
-
I don’t know to much about these but apparently some are supposed to be quick, I have just parted with my 997 , the tax is getting beyond a joke with them and it looks like more hikes on the way for cars like that plus I felt like I was always dodging a bullet with bore scoring , anyway I am going to look at a GTI club sport, any views on this one, or should I be looking at another GTI model.
Thanks

It may get even worse, lost in the post

Where are we supposed to keep getting all this money, I wonder what the numbers are on people who just can not pay anymore and are not on benefits.

I have had a few Defenders, my experience is, engine 300TDI, best engine landrover ever had, chassis and bulkhead can be very poor and needs properly looking at, if you can find one that’s been fitted with a galvanised one happy days. Parts are relatively cheap and easy to get hold of and not rocket science to maintain. Every defender I’ve had was going to be my last but here I am again starting to look at 90s. Very addictive once you have had one.

I was talking to a farmer yesterday he was telling me about another farmer who was at the Welsh farmers rally with there tractors
where the farmer was talking to some others and got onto the subject of the Welsh minister Drakeford and said in conversation that he needs shooting when he got home he had an armed response team waiting for him and lifted his guns and took his license you really need to careful what you say even in jest
Sums up what this country has become, when I got robbed, tractor , topper , thousands of pounds worth , I got a crime number for my insurance, hurty words said and you get the full force of the law.
