  1. Hi there im looking to purchase a 1000 carts but everywhere seems to have hiked the prices up wheres the cheapest place online to get them ? The ones im looking for are 12 gauge No.6 shot 2.5" something like eley hawk grand prix HV thanks for any help.
  2. couldn't agree more about the 101,used it for ages and still very good-very tempted to get the 20 bore this week as Southams in Bedford had one up for auction, but the travelling and the fact that they auction their certificate stuff last means a long day ,and if you don't have the winning bid its a bit of a downer.
  3. I'M IN THE NPPC BUT HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THE #50 tuition days.I think that the best course of action for you is to try and glean as much information as possible from the guys on here. Will Beasley of Shootwarehouse also could be helpful.PROBABLY the best video for a beginner is The Shooting Times one by John Batley called Decoying Pigeon and as for the nppc all Ican say is join it,all the guys are helpful, particularly John Shooter who runs it and he will always try and put you on the right track regarding location and you may find it easier as a beginner to go on a weekday after first finding the location and try and put all the information that you have managed to put together into practice set up your hide and have a go.As long as you are legal you will be fine.Other than that try and get to go with one of the guys on here,it won't be long before your pretty comfy doin it.Where are you located by the way?
  4. on the subject of hide poles, you could always have a look at the washing line props in homebase or other big diy places as these are generally pretty cheap and the ones you need have a plastic lock nut in thev centre which enables you to shorten or extend. You will need to get a piece of dowel or even a piece of ash to insert inside the bottom piece so that it can be sharpened and then pushed into the ground. If you do not do this and assume thar hammering the tube to a point will work you will be disappointed as it will collapse on you and you will have wasted your time and money
  5. the dvd is called"pigeon shooting",the whole story;volume one with chris green. It is advertised in most shooting mags Ithink, but definately in sporting gun. Also the basc was involved so you may be able to get some information from them ,but buying it should be straight forward
  6. what is the website. as far as I know, and the site thats on the dvd case is;www.westcountryfilms.co.uk If you haven't seen this dvd I recommend you have a look as it is very good
  7. does anyone know how Ican get some of Chris Green's decoys. Watched his brilliant dvd and was really impressed with the floaters that he has developed.Went on to his website but unfortunately you cannot get on to the decoy section.
  8. got to agree,Mr Shooter always been very helpful and NPPC has got to be great value for money,I'm going into my third year now and even though Ive got my own permission, the NPPC is great when you need to give your place a rest and a change of scenery can't be a bad thing either.
  9. Now more than 10 days! Any lists out ? Jonno starting to think we are being taken for mugs gang IMO  Even though we have no lists yet ,this is still unbelieveable value for those shooters who do not have there own permission yet,and for those of us that do have our own piece of land it is an ideal back-up when we need to give our own place a break.
