  1. Woke up this morning about 6:00am, clear sky's and sun already bright in the sky i decided to go out and see if i could get some ferret food. Parked my car up, colard up the ferrets, got a pocket full of catridges and of i went with my springer spaniel and shotgun in hand. Ended up with 3 rabbit for an hour Never seen no young but they were quite hard to bolt but, the ferrets worked like troopers and Duke retrieved to hand like a pro for a change. It was good to get out and get the ferrets some exercise before the coming season. Thanks. Billy
  2. Ive seen this before just with pigeon deeeks and had a buzzard think my decoy was real and swooped in for it, must have been hungry. Billy
  3. Never put out any ducks down myself mate but i suppose you could clip there wings, leaves them easy pickings for foxs though. Billy
  4. As said feed all year round mate. If you get a pair with poults then they know where to get easy pickings when there older. Only downfall is they maybe start get to dependant on your feed. I would put feeders out this season and forget about shooting, bring feeders in about march/april and put back out about august/september and see what there is next year. Depends on how desperate you are for sport. Vermin control would be a must, fox's all year round and stoats, rats ect start of spring. Billy
  5. Im sure there were a big right up in last weeks shooting times about this ! Not worth the risk mate if its had an injection you could die and if you flog it suppose you can maybe get done for murder if somone else dies !! As said not worth the risk. Billy
  6. It helps to have it if you want your firearm for deer to show you are compitant. Dint think you should have a problem though i got both mine first time round. Billy
  7. Hi guys, wheres the best place to buy the above on a budget. Not looking to spend to much hard earned cash. Thanks Billy
  8. Feeding on flattend winter barley at my place, trust the field to be to close to road and village. Barley getting cut in a couple of weeks though if weather holds so should get some good shooting in a few other fields. Billy
  9. Even the bad times are good Prob better than sitting in mate and watching whatever craps on the tv. Better luck next time !! Billy
