  1. Hi AshburtonMiroku, I often shoot at Hillside Clay ground. I live near Royston and shoot either there or Nuthampstead. Nuthampstead is here: Googleview of Nuthampstead shooting ground Link to Shooting ground website. Nuthampstead Hillside is here: Google view of Hillside shooting ground Can't find their website right now, however they're open Satuday, Sunday and Thursday evenings in the summer. Nuthampstead has the better facilities IMHO. But I find Hillside more relaxed and less queueing, again IMHO. They have just finished a DTL range, they also make good use of the contours of the land to offer some intresting sporting shooting. They also have skeet shooting, and have a new Air rifle range there too (not see it yet though). I know of a few frieds who have traps and shoot on their own land, but they don't tend to advertise .. Loui
  2. Hi All, I lost my mate's cap from his Air arms rifle and I need to get one to replace it - before I contact Air Arms does anyone have a spare one by chance??? Thanks, Steve
  3. PM sent re the bipod, if it's not already gone. Loui
  4. Wellcome and Merry Christmas to everyone from me too.. Have a great safe Christmas and all the best for the New Year .. Leaving work in the next hour - filling time by catching up here !!!
  5. BT option 1, up to 8 Mb. Looks like its nowhere near. That is wireless on a lappy. Does that make any difference? It's doubtful that your wireless connection is making any difference to the Broadband speed test. Depending on what your signal strength is and what type of wireless device your using, you would probably be beating that speed from your Laptop to your Wireless router. Usually you'd get about 2-10Mbs, however if you want a real test then use an Ethernet Cable and re-try the test.. I get my broadband from my own company (distributorship), although it sounds like I'm touting for business, they were actually voted by Which Magazine as the best Broadband supplier for Customer service and also voted the best company offering Line Rental and calls in terms of value including customer service. For more info follow my link Utility Warehouse. They can also save money on your mobile phone and even energy bills and give you a single bill for the lot! I'd be happy to assist any PW members to save money of their household or small business bills. Regards, Loui
  6. Great bag .. well done - I wish I had 6 weeks off for the summer . Loui
  7. That's a monstrous bag - I assume/hope that your going to use most of them?? Loui
  8. That's really decent of you Ben. I live only about 4 miles from Shepreth and have been a couple of times. However the out-laws are down this weekend and I've promised to take Father to Hillside clay club in the morning. I'll see how things go and may try and swing by Shepreth on the way home if that's OK. Thanks for the help. I was looking at the Hawke website and their reticule page si very good at giving a 'view' of the scope - but there's nothing like first had experience. Thanks again, Steve
  9. Forgot to say it's for an Air rifle - AAs410 .22 Thanks, Loui
  10. Hi All, Still consider myself a newbie and I'm looking to upgrade my scope to make hunting easier I'm looking at the Hawke SR6 scope. Does anyone have one and how do they find in in practice?? Also was the DVD useful, if posible I'd like to have a look at one if anyone doesn't mind lending it to me. (update) It's for an air rifle - AA S410 .22 regards, Loui
  11. Thanks - I'll give that a try with the summer coming up... Cheers, Loui
  12. What's your neighbour doing number 1's in your garden for - does she not have any loo's in her house?
  13. Not sure that it had that in the full recipie - the missus was in charge as I was at work and I dare not give her too much advice. Thanks, Loui
  14. Had the Rabbit for my tea last night - the wife cooked it up a treat.. Said that she wasn't even that bothered handling it (now it was skinless an not so 'fresh' - left in salty water overnight in the fridge). It tasted fantastic - my son loved it too. All the better tasting due to my own efforts in getting it. For the record it was cooked based in a recipie featured in the May issue of Sporting Shooter: Rabbit seasoned and floured then fried in a casarole dish. Remove the rabbit and then fry off in the same pan some Bacon, onions garlic and mushrooms. When the veg and bacon is brown add a glass (or glass and half) of red wine - put the rabbit back in then bung in the oven on a medium heat for 2 hours. Thicken the sauce if necessary with cornflour when it all done. Can't wait to get to go out aagin to get some more tea. Loui
