Needless to say night time fox control
rabbiting
long range varminting although limited due to location in the dreaded city.
Trying to get into bee keeping although like the shooting lots of land available to me by invitation, but no city boys/girls share any interest.
Alternative vehicles.(used to run my diesel car on refined used cooking oil collected from the local kosher restaurants in north london(they have a local beth din sort of supervisor so no shitty chip oil kept in the vats for 6 weeks)Clean oil was easier to convert.Got bored, now have my own lpg. tank in the back yard (as long as the neighbours think it is for central heating) should keep the nosey buggers from mourning to the council.2000 litres of lpg does help to keep the weeds down though.Enjoying watching my lovely 7 year old daughter grow up
1. O my god Nick I cannot believe you are selling it!!!! If he hasn't already sold this vehicle it is in way above average condition for the year of vehicle. Purrs beautifully and superb body work ((doesn't come into town too much I guess!!!)) For that sort of money you will be hard pushed to find anything better or indeed problem free.... Even smells clean too... Seemed such a shame to get mud on it down the farm.....Thanks for a lovely evening out lamping..So good to get out in the mud again after such a long break....
2. Only two posts to speak of, and already boasting. Tenner reckons he's in Jackanory land.
3. Well done for putting the effort in. Please bare me in mind if you decide to go ahead. No problems contributing a reasonable fee. cheers Jimmy
4. Hello Gentlemen,Does anybody have a Monoloc adaptor for sale preferably for the pvs14 size aperature.? Would also maybe consider a used xvd14 if it has the decent xd4 tube in. Thank you
5. Hello HH Kavala is best known for its beautiful beaches stretching for miles between places like Drama up to the Paulya area (somthing the Germans realised pretty sharpish and pumped their deusch mark in the region). Their are plenty of Treioni (collared doves to be had around July to september at least when I was in my teens holidaying/working out there). The island of Thassos about 30 mins away I think on the ferry from Kavala harbour was full of collared doves plus Turtle doves but i'm not quite sure on the legalities of shooting the latter. Best advise depending on how fit you are. Buy yourself a decent Harpoon /waterproof spotlight. and explore the concept of octopus shooting along the rocks near drama and especially Paulya. Dam hard work and they will Claw back if you don't hit them right. Yer, what are you doing out there if you are not involved in oil. In anycase i'm very envious of you. In response to a previous thread, you should find that alot of the the Greek babes that far north are actually fairly light skinned, also being quite close to the border many Albanians/ ex Yugo's have come across (not all to rob banks do over cars that are still left unlocked and then '**** off' back over the border after a nights work. Enjoy the sun and the cheap "gyros" (a local version of a doner with all the **** ) with chips for about a quid equivalent.
6. Hello double H. I've set you a badly spelt e-mail.(in relation to your request) kind regards london foxshot
7. WELL CHAPS ALL I CAN SAY IS YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY HAVING BETTER LUCK UP NORTH THAN I AM NEAR CONCRETE CITY. OUT OF THE COMBINED SEVERAL THOUSAND ACRES AROUND N. LONDON / HERTFORDSHIRE. NOT ONE FIELD OF RAPE HAS BEEN PLANTED THIS YEAR DUE OF COURSE TO THE NONE EXISTANT MOISTURE IN THE AUTUMN. I'D LOVE TO KNOW WHAT THE'RE FEEDING ON OR WHERE BUT IT CERTAINLY AINT AROUND HERE?
8. I would love to get some basic experiance in bee keeping. Does anybody know of anyone who would be willing to share their knowledge/hive building experience.(I'm in the north london potters bar area) It's possibly a bit late in the year so maybe some experience for next spring etc. THANKS
9. Being unfortunate to living so near to the london suburbs any night time shooting almost certainly requires a quick call to the areas control room to let them Know where and what time one would be present. Only last week i'd been reqested to assist in removing problematic Charlies' from a north Hertfordshire golf course(no bunnies to feed on the greens just charlie to rip them up instead lookin for worms each) Having just dispatched charlie no1. the dreaded mobile starts vibrating Expecting it to be work requiring an extra early start the coming morning I was suprised to receive a call from the area control room. Turned out a resident(nearest property 500 metres away) had heard the single shot(sound moderated ofcourse) and was in histerics. The control room were good as gold actually after checking wether i was still on site. Apparantly they were going to reassure her that it was probably just a private party nearby using air bombs in their display. Just shows you that not all area police units are unapprochable.
10. Gentlemen, where are all the young birds this year ? Atleast down in this area (hertfordshire/Potters Bar) few are to be seen. Only one shot this month was whilst out sniping rabbits with a rifle. Also for this immediate area very few of our farmers are bothering with oilseed rape this year due to lack of immediate moisture in the soil. I hope this doesn't effect the winter mortality rate as everything else round here is normally winter wheat. What do you think?
