  1. Use 9 for skeet and 7.5 for everything else. One visit to the clay ground I was shooting well until I realised I have put 9s in the cartridge bag and not 7.5s (Hull 21 gram only difference is the number on the cartridge). After that I couldnt hit a thing and this was shooting stuff I had been hitting well before :blush: . So much of shooting is in the mind :blink:

    On the choke front I use 1/4 and 3/8 for everything sometimes using skeet and cylinder for skeet.

  2. I take mine off Alloy mod + steel barrel (.22LR) not good in long term storage how ever you clean and oil after use.

    My opinion and I sure others will disagree but having seen the effects of electrolytic corrosion just by stuffing a piece of ally in with some metal files I aint risking it. I dont want to have to machine off the mod when unscrewing it takes 10 seconds.

  3. The Cornish master jethro

    :stupid:

    Very funney guy but to get best out of his jokes is does help if you have lived in the South West and seen it actually happen

    I prefer the golden oldies.

    The two ronnies, Morcombe and Wise, **** Emery, Tommy Cooper.

    Modern era "comedians" seem to only get their laughs by filling the venue with a torrent of bad language and vulgarity.

    :stupid:

    Totally agree

  5. It's the old brown sauce vs ketchup argument - they're both as good as each other....although the Browning will guarantee success with clays, gamebirds and women while making other men look at you with a new found respect :yes:

    Sorry mate ketchup every time :lol::lol:

    PS I prefer Brownings too

    As said many times either will hold its price buy the one you shoot best with. If you shoot well with both then you have a problem. :yp: :yp:

    Myself I think beretta's look sleeker than brownings but I prefer to shoot brownings never got on with beretta

    Good luck

  6. only had my licence for a month or so and have brought carts from 4xshops not 1 has asked for a sgc yet ! :lol:

    And when I lived in Essex I was always asked even by shops that knew me and I had bought cartridges from recently. When I asked the reply was "legal requirement before we can sell you cartridges". Another made the point that although I had bought cartridges the month before and they had seen my certificate I could have lost it ie police taken it back or it could have run out :exclamation::exclamation:

    So as said before always have your S.G.C with you

  7. The only way is Essex! made the mistake of attempting to view a episode,whats it all about, are they bad actors,is it scripted? I haven't got a clue and am not destroying more brain cells watching another minute of the rubbish ,what makes it worse the shops are stocking scent of Essex and under wear

    Well if you live in the wrong part of Essex the only scent you get is rotting rubbish from the land fill sites

    :lol::lol:

  8. LOADS of things **** me off on the box

    But the revelation this year was how good the old stuff is compared to the new! I was well suprised when I realised that about all of the programes I really enjoyed were REPEATS!!!

  10. Does anyone else find these cartridges to leave your gun filthy? I shot a box full today and noticed a lot of the time the primers were black after being shot and left a sooty powder on the firing pins (it's a 12G O/U)

    Out of the 200 various carts shot today they were the only ones that did that.... Any ideas?

    I have had the same happen (sooty powder on firing pins) using Hull Comp X 21gram not all of them just a few but the barrels are ok. I kept a couple of used shells and put them up to a bright light but couldnt see any holes in the primers.

    Strange!

    :hmm::hmm:

  11. I`m no Miroku expert but it might be worth checking the bores with a micrometer. Some of the very early ones where inexplicably bored at .740 which means that, with a bit of wear they can be rendered out of proof.

    Hopefully someone who knows more about Mirokus than me can tell you whether this is likely with the gun in question.

    Nice looking gun.

    I thought a barrel went out of proof when it had worn a certain percentage from its original size not the standard 12 bore, bore as it were.

    nice gun

  12. When I lived on Chafford Hundred (Grays Essx) the best fish n chips was a shop called Peggottys phone up and fish cooked to order so always fresh. When I moved there every raved about Mumfords but I never thought they were that great and the Harry Ramsdens on Lakeside was awful. Best fish and chips I have ever had was at the Magpie cafe in Whitby stupendous fish chips and mushy peas
