  1. I  am not going to apologize for enjoying field sports I have been at since the age of 11. Said it before and I don't need to because we all know. In any field sport that involves live quarry there is suffering which we all ways try and avoid or keep to complete minimum. If a shooter drops a high fast bird you can be dam sure he is like YES the same as a lurcher man that back in day watched his dog a have a great run on a hare. Like a hounds man the listens to hounds in cry down a misty gully on a frosty morning and the fox runs rings around them and gives a great outing before being caught. Also every sportsman has or should have respect and be equally as happy if the quarry gets away. I returned some lovely bass this year plenty of 6-7lbers and watching them swim away after gently reviving is a great feeling. I see a pigeon fly off a nest I don't come back and ambush it. I see fox cubs in the summer I steer the dog away. I see a rabbit on the road I let it get out the way. It is just what we do. We look after the country side. If you don't like fox hunting don't do it. But keep your beak out and let others do what they enjoy

  2. This has been done to death but they said two jabs would wear off eventually and now you need a booster but that will surely wear off then you start again. Personally I am not have a drug whacked in me that has not had long term testing simple as and I won't be shamed or pushed into it

  3. I agree poor advice off a vet. If every dog was put down that went for another dog there wouldn't be many left. You will notice the little dog will now have its eye on the big one going forward and tread carefully. Hopefully as well it was made clear to the big dog at the time it shouldn't really be doing that either so all will be well under normal circumstances. Goes with out saying as well never leave dogs unattended together if there is a size difference no matter how well they get on

This is slightly different though. @countrymancould correct me, but this doesn't sound like dinner bowls down time, but food falling from a counter and an opportunist moment. Plus, it's escalated behaviour. It is apparently getting worse.

This isn't just about the dog's food being there, it's when any food is around and there's a chance to hoover something up. I'm not sure it's worth the risk of a child dropping something, the dog seeing it and moving in and then the child trying to retrieve the item. It's gone the way of the dog not being anywhere near when anyone's got food. That's not easy to police and one mistake could be disastrous.

That is different and it sounds like the dog needs putting in its place. But its not unusual for dogs to compete over food. We had same sort of situation with a big old lurcher and cocker. They were fed well apart and both dogs new they weren't allowed to dive on any thing that was dropped. Only ever had an issue once were the cocker accidental strayed near the others food bowl one day and we were all ways on the ball with them. No small kids around. Only the owner can make the call and good luck

  5. Cheers folks. I will say it is an eye catching bead. All I know is when the gun doesn't come into the picture literally I do great also even if I don't get my head down on it things go well. Yet the second I start trying it all goes to cock. Also just chilling out makes a big difference so may be I shouldn't be here harping on about it 😄

  6. Is it just me? I find with the shotgun when I give it no thought and look at the bird and just swing I shoot really well. The second I put some thought into it and start trying to sort out lead or just try too hard I miss badly.
In the summer on the pigeons I get the chance to warm up a bit or shoot ok straight off for me anyway. But in the winter or at least this year on the ducks because shots are few I find my self putting thought into and missing. If I snap out of that and just look at bird mount the gun and don't try I am fine. So frustrating at time. I missed an easy duck this morning straight over my head because it was accelerating I thought about lead and missed.  I shoot a winchester 23 sxs which is my favourite gun as I shoot well with it most the time and it feels so natural. But it does have a bead on it which I might remove. Sure it catches my eye

I don't get involved in these conversations because it causes too much typing! We are having our liberties taken away not so slowly! Once they finally get hunting finished and they unfortunately will, shooting will be next. And they will come with more bile and venom than ever before because they'll have had their victory. For the most part the police don't want us to have guns and the anti movement is creeping through their ranks like a virus and the same with our politicians. Our organisations try....a bit...to fight our corner bur it's too little too late. If we're still shooting in 20yrs I will be astounded. We're at the ****ty end of the stick and it's only going to get ****tier.

You are bang on and it sickens me. I would love to take my lurcher out tonight and legally pile into a fox. Good bit of sport test the dog and kill some vermin. But oh no some lilly livered softy might get offended. Whoopy do cry me a river. So dam annoying this country has just gone tits and it will get much worse a lot quicker. Any shooters who sit on there high horses judging others it is only time before they get to you. We should all support each other and fight to open up field sports in all its forms not the reverse

  8. Thank you your interest in our products. Unfortunately at this point in time we do not export. Hopefully in the future this will change, I will file your contact info and if things open up I’ll be in contact. Thanks again,

I'd disagree London best. Obviously it's a personal preference. I have a choice of a kavanagh, trulock and Harris or Winchester 23. The Winchester is always taken. Very pointable  great handling gun. Built to last.  From duck to woodcock it'll knock them.

Same it is my goto gun
