I measured the choke with a brass choke guage ,it starts at full & goes up to bore, when put in the pattern master choke & it reads quarter . Im using 32grm no 6 loads with felt wads, the choke are supposed to work better with plastic wads & larger load sizes, Its supposed to slow the wad down & put more lead in to the pattern. if you need more info look at pro goose & duck supplies wed site its got all the info on the pattern master choke & lists the correct choke for youre make of gun.

I use a code black long range duck, use it for every thing pigeon,crow etc it s quarter choke acording to my choke guage, Holds a tight pattern out to 60 yrd on a pattern plate, if youre on target its a kill not many flapers, when deycoying put the pattern out to 40 yrd & watch the birds fold up when hit. (should have got a code black mid range for deycoying) I use it in a bennelli crioevo semi.

Found them feeding on a field of drilled wheat about 6 fields away, just walked round with the dogs, walked them off ,now their dropping on a field of rape what was re sown in places yesterday, looks like they've got too mutch choice .I will get a few bangers out and try to get them moving about.

Set up at 1.00 pm on a freshly drilled wheat field ,100 or so pigeons feeding on it ,the sun was shinning no wind, bit hayzey in the distance. The birds were passing over head like little dots, big flocks ,heading somewere the od ones pulled out came well into the decoys folding their wings back to get inn,

Got set up at 2 pm till 4 pm plenty of birds about, Packed in as they have started drilling the fields joining with peas ,I will keep an eye on them, Hope the birds stop in the area.

Looked out of the window at the partly sown wheat field & noticed a few pigeons flighting to it, so a box of carts & gun and dogs and I was of got sat under a pair of silvrer birtch trees and waited to ambush the birds as they flghted in. 7.45 am whilst 9.45 am Birds were coming in 1 & small buntches. the tractors turned up to finish the drilling ,so a walk home & a cuppa . should be back in the action abt 2 ish .Nets deycoys the works . As I look out the window the trees round the field a full of birds.

The chokes on my berretta come loose after a few shots, any one had this problem before ? have to re tighten them after about 20 shots, the chokes are what came with the gun from new.

Bought a patternmaster code black long duck choke for my benelli crioevo, Took it out on saturday to a small wood to try on a few pigeons, the birds were flying from the wood to a near bye old pottato field were two friends set decoys out . I shot this wood in febuary roost shooting & didnt have mutch luck as the birds were to high. So new choke fitted. I shot at birds 40 + yards high the birds were folding up stone dead ,i was shooting 32g 6s with felt wads Ended up with 14 pigeons all shot flying above top of trees & all were dead in the air wen hit. Cant wait to try it out in september on the ducks. Anyone on ere got good or bad experience with theese chokes.
