wanted cheap and chearful side by side not fused abiut ejectors or if it's tightly chocked. condition of bluein and wood not important but must tight etc. looking to spend around £100 and looking to source in east yorkshire area.
-
well done mate, nice bag for a few hours bonus getting extra land too.
-
hi guys would a fixed choke make any difference ?
no not really mate. if you unsure about your guns pattern with a given load just pattern test it by firing at a large bag or wooden board at 30yds
-
hi mate, as you probably know by now crows and rooks are sharp eyed creatures and tend to vear off sharply when they see you. they become further away when this happens. for this reason a lot of people like 32gms of no5 they also give more clout on higher birds. in reality 32gms of no6 through 1/2 or 3/4 choke should be ample. some are able to kill them with 7 1/2's but you need the birds closer to you. also try to swing through the bird a bit more and put more of the shot pattern into the front of the bird. try some 5 and 6 shot you will see the difference.

My Boy.....
and what a boy he is...
well chuffed he wants to shoot, Fish , camp and cook and all this off his own back.
I don't tell him to do it, its he's choice.
better than spending all day on the PS3 or X box.
Clean fresh air, (well Air yes) and learns all about weapons, safety and shelter building in a day.
well done son.
That's my Boy & I'm well chuffed.
brilliant photogragh that mate, one to cherish before you know he will twice the size and twice the shot his dad is /was typical lab though just like mine any excuss to get the lipstick out!

tottaly agree with the above mate. any live quarry needs to be shot in the head/neck area with an air rifle and only when your confident and know your ranges etc. try shooting empty cartridge cases at 25 yds when you can hit them every shot then start thinking about rabbits this weeks fieldsports channel has roy lupton shooting a pcp and giving advice on ranges/pellet drop etc. worth a look
sorry mate meant pigeons not rabbits misread your post! same applys though

Hey mate, had multi shot aa conversion on mine ended up taking it off and only using it for ratting lol. Couldn't trust it to cycle spot on every time and once you get use to loading single it becomes second nature and in my option more accurate. Single shot does have obvious pit falls mind.

fair play then mate i found mine very tricky to load single pellets onto the loading tray, when lamping especially with cold fingers had my ten shot conversion a few years now with no problems
-
might be worth mentioning that this rifle is a single shot, to make a good hunting rifle it will need the retro fit 10 shot mag at £60 to £70 not a must but makes it twice the rifle IMO. agree with karpman though, lovely little rifle and as nightsearcher says a few quid and some elbow grease could bring it back to its best
-
nice shot mate potentially killed a lot of rats in a single shot

nothing left to say! well done
