  1. Excellent thanks guys apart from the stuck up people who can't accept that I didn't go with their choice. After being in the gun shop and using the scorpion and the s410 I decided that the scorpion felt better and more natural to use and hold. How can anyone fault someone else for being more comfortable with a certain gun!!!! I asked for some advice and personal opinions, I didn't ask for you to choose for me though. I thank everyone on this thread for your help and opinions. All the best with the new year and more rabbits!!
  2. I'll be after pigeons and rabbits at around 30 yards. Just been into my local gun shop and they have priced up a scorpion multi shot carbine, BSA scope, silencer and a fill bottle for £550 all brand new. They have a .22 and a .177 in stock so I'm still up in the air about caliber size!!
  3. Excellent response, thanks folks. From what I can make out there is a few more who would lean towards the S410 but as mentioned each to there own. My mate has a super 10 and made a good point that the HO of BSA is only in Birmingham (25 mins away) so if anything was to go wrong I'm only down the road. Last couple of questions, If I'm using it for hunting should I use .177 or .22 & carbine or rifle. Sorry for all the questions but you guys seem to know your stuff :-). Thanks again, Matt
  4. Hello, I am looking at buying my first PCP and have been looking at second hand BSA Scorpions (multi shot) or an Air Ams S410. Does any one have any preference between the 2 and should I be looking out for any renowned problems? I am looking to spend sub £400. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks, Matt
  5. Hello, does this come with the fill adaptor to fill off a dive bottle? Many thanks, Matt
  6. Nice one, thank you for the information, it certainly gives me more to look at now. What about the pellet size .22 or .177 for pigeon & rabbit etc?
  7. Hello everyone. I am after my first pcp air rifle. I have looked at the new BSA ultra multishot tactical for around £450 but have also looked at second hand BSA super 10's for around £350. Has any one got any advice on what to go for and any other options I should look at? My budget is £500 for multishot rifle and scope. Cheers. Matt
  8. Have you tried Go Outdoors? They will do mail order and have about 40 stores around the country. Try to look on Gooutdoors.co.uk
  9. Hi all, after a pretty wet day today I decided to pop out and have a walk around one of my permissions I have. No sooner had I pulled up the heavens opened again and down came the rain. After walking for about 5 minutes the rain eased off and was now quite a fine and drizzling type of rain. Now I'm quite new to pigeon shooting and have been told that pigeons don't fly or feed in the rain. However as I walked around a barn in one of the fields there were 75 ish pigeons all feeding and looked as if they had been there some time. This proved the same on the other fields as I walked, they were flying, landing and feeding in the rain. Does anyone know what's going on or has anyone had the same? Thanks, Matt
  10. Thank you all for your warm welcome. I look forward to taking part in the fourms and talking to you all soon. Thanks, Matt
  11. Good evening everyone. I am new to pigeon watch after my friend introduced me to the forum. I have just started shooting pigeons over fields of rape and wheat with a semi-auto and have had some good results so far for a new shooter. Always open to hints and tips on how to improve my shooting and things to watch out for. Thanks, Matt
