  1. Problem is that i’m trying to keep costs to a minimum so trying to fix it myself (if I can source the parts) rather than paying for a gunsmith (don’t know how much they’ll charge but figured it won’t be cheap)
  2. Hello all, after some help please, recently bid at holts auctions and won an investarm 28g o/u for the lad. Took out yesterday, bottom barrel fires probably 70% of the time (indentation on primer when doesn’t fire). Top barrel doesn’t fire at all, although trigger does pull. Disassembled it today and found the top firing pin is broken so that explains the top barrel not firing. Bottom firing pin looks ok to me, but the hammer looks like it has an indentation, could this be causing the weak strike? Had a look online but for the life of me i cannot find spare parts for this gun, my plan is to replace upper firing pin and the lower hammer. Any advice of where to find these parts or any other ideas of what it could be? Don’t want to spend a fortune as i’m sure the lad will soon out grow this one but a shame to scrap it. ps, sorry if any terminology is wrong i am self teaching with the aid of youtube.
  3. Thanks, would give that a go but unfortunately i’m working on the 30th
  4. Hello all, after a long sabbatical from shooting i now have a sgc again and i am now back in the game. Gutted that I ended up surrendering my previous side by sides to local cop shop as sgc was running out of time and couldn’t give them away for free! sooo now i’m looking for a cheap side by side preferably ejector, not too bothered single/double trigger but obviously single would be nice. Due to not wanting to spend alot preferably in the midlands area to avoid rfd fees. thanks for looking
  5. Im in the midlands so a little too far for me but thanks anyway. inspection is going to be sooner than i planned so have bitten the bullet and bought brand new one
  6. After 4 years out of shooting, the time has come get back into it . Put in application for SGC. Having assessed the house (moved since last had SGC) the only safe i can fit is a breakdown style (i know too small and i’ll want bigger for more guns once license comes = but no space and promised the boss only 1 gun or maybe 2 this time). Preferably want a brattonsound sc2 but sb2 will do for now or anything similar really?
  7. if your on your phone, try 'open in new tab' on the photo and it should work

I have had the safe positioned in a corner so for added security bolted throught the right side (x6 holes) aswell as the standard back (x4 holes). Collection only due to weight (Tamworth Staffordshire). Height 152cm, depth 34cm, width 26cm.

  16. i don't know the lifespan only just started reading up on the topic, but have found so far quite a few myths surrounding electric cars that don't exist or are exaggerated. I'm looking to lease aswell so resale value not a problem but the depreciation is shocking, but then with far lower running costs month by month year by year cost are still cheaper.Think the myth regarding extra polution in creating batteries was started/fed by top gear,it varies from car to car. Dont get me wrong im not a tree hugging hippie, didnt look at a hybrid for enviro reasons more lower running costs and that instant torque . Their certanly not ideal for every driver but the type of driving and amount of miles i do a hybrid will/should be ideal
  17. There is some detrioration of batteries as with any batteries, having a look at the pure electric cars there are nissan leafs out there used by taxi firms with over 100k clocked up,in terms of economical repair probably similar set up with a fossil fuel car when something major breaks at a certain age
  18. have had a look at the golf GTE?i also looked at the merc and outlander but chose the golf in the end
