Yes i did that but i have changed my mind and rejoined BASC so i can see some members may need just the insurance cover as i did . But i made a mistake and hold my hands up to that we all have different ideas.

Would it be possible for every one on pw to form a group like BASC and get our feelings felt. Plus get a discount on insurance and other cost as we all seem to be getting nothing in return for our fees. As i amazed our at times you guys have come together to help each other that shows PW is great.l

Wow this as opened a good debate about FEO and BASC someone should open up a page about how us members feel and stand up together and be counted. Bill

Yes he could cut the number of licence holders to a third in met police area.

The FEO email states i SEE THE FARMER COULD TESTIFY YOU HAVE SHOOTING FOR YEARS, YOU TOLD ME YOU HAD NOT SHOT FOR YEARS SO I am starting to become slightly suspicious.

Thank you this FEO is so rude and puts walls up every time i speak to him or email.He as put in the email he will not support my application with out a firearm holders letter

Thanks guys have spoken to BASC they have told me to complain to a higher police office . The FEO that turned me down as he emailed me to say he is suspicious of me this is because of me stating that i had only fired a few firearm rounds since leaving to TA many years ago and the farm manager is pleased with me shooting on his land. With a shotgun and could he vouch for me the FEO emailed me back stating NO as he does not have a firearms licence .

The land is near the hope farm in kent and both the old guys had open tickets but have moved. One may have died the farm will give permission to any one with a open ticket as i am allowed to take any one with me at any time.

Spoke to FEO he wants some one to mentor me and vouch for me but both guys i know with firearm tickets have moved . so am struggling as have ove 1000 acres and he will not accept me joining a riffle club. And then ask why i want a177hmt and a .22lr can any one help me

Thank you both for your advice have sent a email to FEO asking for clarification and would a letter help with my application from the farm manager. Will let you know when i here back from the FEO. Will not let him win now thanks .

Will contact Gunplan tomorrow and have sent a email to FEO asking for some clarification. The FEO as contacted the farm manager and he fully surpports my application and the farm is passed for firearms . The FEO wanted some one to say i was safe and put it in a letter but both the firearms boys have moved away and thats why i was applying for my ticket.

Just left BASC and joined Gunplan do they cover this

He told me it would go down as a refusal if i did not with draw the application and to send email to him saying i wish to withdraw it.

Firearms officer called today and said the only problem with issuing my first FAC licence was I did not have any one to say i was gun safe .Offered to join a club in Kent he replied would not still get as as not used around my perm. Have held shotgun licence for over ten years

Phoned BASC about applying for my firearms licence I was told that I would not get my licence as i had not been on a course or belonged to a riffle club. Waste of time phoning them no support. Held shotgun licence for over forty years and land is passed
