  1. Because it kept failing!!! This was a fault virtually out of the box!
  2. As the title says. I have shot rifles for a few years now and have had reasonable success. However, I have never really gelled with Shot Guns! I've tried a few and none of them gave me great results (not blaming the hardware BTW). Does anyone out there have experience of their shooting improving with having their gun fitted? What sort of money should I be spending, should I go ahead with it. Thanks.
  3. Nothing wrong with the Howa's. I have one in 223 and shoots great. Trigger is a bit naff, but a great gun all the same. +1 for brand new though. If I was to do it again, I would probably buy a Sako though. I have used a shooting buddy's one regularly and I love them.
  4. I too had a brand new Alcione One with exactly the same problem. I returned it and bought a Browning. It's a shame as the Gun was nice and well kitted for the money, but I was constantly waiting for it to fail!
  5. Hmm, I know first hand that many manufacturers won't honour a warranty without proof of purchase. Hawke, Nightmaster, Nite-Site to name a few. These are just the ones I've had first hand experience. Shame there's no receipt. Might have been tempted myself! Good luck.
  6. lovely bit of timber! Good luck with the sale
  7. That IS a bargain. Very accurate little shooters.
  8. Bargain, I have the same PCP. Great bit of kit. Good luck with the sale.
  9. is 15" LOP quite long? Sorry for the newbie question.
  10. Thanks for getting back to me. I'll have to act faster next time!
  11. I have the same rifle. Amazingly accurate! On a good day, I'll get 0.3 MOA @ 100 yds (when I do my part). It loves Horandy brass and Ramshot X-Terminator. Good luck with the sale.
  12. I have the same SG, Cracking tool and it's a well built bit of kit. BARGAIN!
  13. Luckily I only paid £150 for it. Sounds like a bargain to me then 😃 I wouldn't normally buy a gun without seeing it but for that price, I thought it was worth a punt. Why was there an assumption of what I paid by the way? Thanks for your responses. Most helpful.
  14. I took a punt on an O&U without seeing it as my shooting buddies kept telling me I was a ***** (wont let me use the actual word) for using and Winchester SXP pump. This was compounded by looks and sniggering at clay shoots. When I took it out of the slip, I was pleasantly surprised with the look and condition of it (albeit being stored for 4 years with dirty barrels). The Shotgun is a John Macnab, 30" sporter, single trigger, selective, auto safety, ejector, fixed 1/4 and 3/4 chokes in very tidy condition. Anyone got any ideas on its value? I'm new to shotgun'n and would like to get my eye in, but if it doesn't fit me, then I may part-ex it, hence the valuation. Thanks in advance.
  15. Definitely M18? I'm after one for my T3 and it's M14! Cheers.
  16. I have just taken delivery of my T67 and have to agree with your initial comments. One of the guys I regularly shoot with has the X Searcher and it ****** all of the T67 in a massive way. I have a ebay red LED torch which cost £17 if memory serves me right and is also better and has no aspherical, just a smooth reflector. Utterly disappointed!!! I shall be seeking a refund i think.
  17. Price drop to £600. It's a cracking little rifle. Ben.
  18. Just to add, I have been informed that this is not the American, but the Lux version. Not sure what the difference is, but sorry for misleading anyone. Thanks.
  19. Thanks Simon, This is my sale. Cheers. Ben.
  20. I also have one of these and had it for about 18 months. Great piece of kit and is responsible for over 90% of my kills. That might say more about my stalking skills than anything else
  21. I went out on to one of my permissions last weekend and took Simon1979 with his cobweb covered Sako .243 :-) These were taken at 100 and 60 yards. I really thought the moths nesting in his barrel would have put the shot off. Joking aside, lovely rifle and some nice shooting. Just needs to shoot it more and get a mod. . Check how mangey one of them is. This dirty ****** was right next to the farm yard. Nice shooting Simon1979 EDIT: Can only upload one picture! There we go.
  22. Hmm, thats a worry. I am a rifle shooter and looking to buy my first shotgun this weekend (assuming my SGC arrives). I had looked at a few shotguns over the weeks and Shooting Supplies in Bromsgrove showed me the Franchi Alcione One. I was very impressed (not that I really know what I'm looking for) with the quality of wood and the overall looks of the shotgun (again I know looks aren't neccesarily that important). A good shooting friend of mine also had a Franchi some years ago and he sold his due to the firing pins failing (more than once). I think as it comes with a 3 year backup, I may still take a punt. I'd be interested to see how yours gets resolved. Keep us posted please. Cheers.
