  1. Do you know how long the malted barley will keep please? I can pick some up this week but won't be able to do my feed stint until next......
  2. A beautiful morning on the marsh and could've been a good flight. Could've been had I not shot like a headless man......... absolutely shocking!
  3. Maxus all the way. The most impressive and trouble free auto i've ever shot.
  4. I ordered my Canada call on Tuesday and it came through the post this morning! Fantastic service from Eddie and a great call. Very happy customer.
  5. I had 3 skeins of Canada's fly directly over me last week at dusk as I worked near the estuary. That got the heart going I can tell you.
  6. Great to see that generosity is rewarded with impeccable manners.....well done to you both!
  7. You've made a decision that could well change your life. After growing up on a farm and shooting from a young age, I only came into Wildfowling after moving to the coast recently. You have to like your own company but it can be a truly magical experience.....and a wet, cold, muddy one! Enjoy your first season!
  8. Hi there, Is this an ambi stock? Thanks, James
  9. Lovely gun.....a Beretta isn't a trade up on a Miroku!
  10. Turn the electronic ones up and you can hear everything!
  11. I also have these and they are fantastic. Turn them up and you can hear things better than without them! A few shots here and there or not, why risk damaging your hearing for the sake of 40 quid?
  12. I've got the 4 in 1 jacket. Fantastic bit of kit, warm, dry and well designed. Can't recommend it enough!
  13. Thanks to all for their help with this, good to see some diagrams and pictures as it really helps to get an idea of what's needed. Much appreciated!
  14. Everything will be done from shore, all on tidal rising and falling water up to 8 feet deep. I'm thinking now it might be simpler to use separate rigged decks but if anyone has any ideas of simple mother line rigs, that would be great. Cheers.
  15. Evening guys, I'll be honest, I haven't got much of a clue about decoy setting as I generally just shoot the morning or evening flights. However, I've just treated myself to some deeks and calls and want to do more at the latter end of the season. I've only got half a dozen decoys but can anyone please offer some advice as to the best way to place them, using motherliness etc. Thanks loads! James
  16. Cabalas postage is a bit of a bind, but the service is fantastic. I bought a jacket and waders, they took care of the customs stuff and it didn't take long at all. Some of the deals they have on jackets are fantastic. Well recommended!
