Have owned the lightweight alli actioned one with ventilated rib on a 24inch barrel for the last 30 years & can agree with all the previous posts. Crackin little gun.

I own 2 Rugers a 243 and a match barrelled 17hmr, can't fault either. Again no experience with the Howa.
