I was looking at some skins being done in Africa last week and they seem to rely on time spent in salt crystals. Using finely ground salt to get into the small areas around the eyes, toes and under the lips.

Whys that? Either outcome could be fair.
It's not democratic to mix state and the law including judges that cannot be replaced.
If the trial's do not go through due process, whatever the outcome, then that is not democracy.
There are still many hurdles to completion of due process (Judge Cannon being one of them).

We hold the US as a democracy. That standard is in question if the rule of law does not persist. Certainly the confusion between law and state would not pass the tests for the EU. I suspect that Judge Cannon (trump appointee) in the Marlago case will be kicked into touch for failure to progress the case. The Supreme Courts ruling (predominantly Trump appointed) will no doubt create a grey area for immunity with the Trump papers. The big difference of course between Trump and Biden is Biden only had relevant in use papers and handed them over immediately. Trump on the other hand lied about the papers, handed over some and hid others and held papers not relevant to an ex President.

I have an excellent local garage in the nearest village. I just drop it in and they do whatever. There are some things they wont do (automatic transmission fluid change ?) and I have to take it to the main dealer in Bath. It's always a heart in mouth moment when I collect it.

It will be interesting to see if the US is still a democracy. Apparently arrangements have been made in prison to hold him.
The supreme caught have differentiated between official actions and actions for personal gain when considering imunity. Maybe he goes to jail and pardons himself? Is that possible? 🤔 it looks increasingly unlikely he will get in as president.

Excellent trip out. I too saw 1000's and shot over a 1000 pigeons and doves last week but I had to go to Africa to do it. Not so much close to home. Not sure I could shoot so much with a sbs.

That's exactly why I don't support any party. Labour can only balance the system we have back to the middle. We need strong not extreme government. We cannot have that with FPP. The political pendulum will swing more and more. Fortunately the likes of SNP, Greens and now Reform all help to dampen that swing and ensure that Cons and Labour fight for the middle.
US is a good example of extreme govt where the MAGA's have tried to take over the GOP. The agenda 25 (funded by Putin) manifesto is designed simply to undermine democracy. Fortunately it's looking increasingly likely that Trump has shot his bolt.
We are starting to hear much of the same rhetoric here namely, stop the immigrants, get rid of the law, clear out the checks and balances, get rid of the civil servants.

In my view with our FPP voting system there is simply no merit it trying to work together. Each side has to undermine the other to get the votes. The public will not vote for reality.
More people paying tax and less services being provided.

Every service is under funded (police, army, education, NHS, legal services, social care, tax offices, transport the list is endless). We are all paying record taxes. We are spending vastly more than we are earning.
It's the electorate that wont vote for something that makes them worse off. Either party could sort the problem but neither of them can do it alone.

Crikey how much of the abyss we are in can you not see???? As for Labours plan the work that they have been doing with focus groups and Civil Servants (😉) convince me not only that they have a plan but also that it is soundly based. Execution may be a different matter as they (like all parties) will struggle with the hard choices that a bankrupt country will inevitably have to make.
It will take any government years to dig us back out of the hole we are currently in. I accept that it's not all of the fault of the Tories the Brexit voting electorate share at least part of the blame.

It took 20 years the judge recognised that the 75 year old would find prison tought. He sent him down for life.
