  1. 3 a couple of weeks back and 3 this morning, all with the .22 FAC Rapid running at 34 ft/lbs. Total now 983
  2. 5 Sunday morning with the Mk2 Rapid running at 34ft/lbs. Total 401
  3. The Franchi Alcione has a slightly different fore-end and receiver. They all seem to have been made in Italy originally and then other companies have re-branded them (badge engineering as it was called in British Leylands day).
  4. This looks to be exactly the same as my over and under which was made by A. V. Marocinni in Italy in 1986. I guess they made them for The Midland Gun Company? Good luck with the sale.
  5. One this morning, with the Mk 2 Rapid running at 34 ft/lbs. Total 182.
  6. I had major problems with them about a year ago when my wife had an accident, and it turned out that they had reduced S.D.&P. cover to not include commuting to and from a fixed place of work. She was on her way to work, so they refused to pay up but took two weeks to tell me this, and by this time had taken my car away. After writing to the M.D., threatening to take them to the Ombudsman, and 2 months worth of correspondence, they finally gave me market value, less 10%, less the salvage value of the car. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
  7. Dexron 2 should be fine on a vehicle that old. Change it once more, along with the filter and check the levels with the engine running after going through the gears, which you should always do on an auto following a drain and refill, as NIGHT SEARCHER says. If that doesn't sort it, then there is something more serious wrong with the transmission.
  8. The extra gear might well be a torque converter lock-up. Our TD5 Discovery has a four speed box and I was convinced there were 5 but apparently on light throttle loads over 50 MPH the torque converter locks up automatically. Personally I would try a complete fluid change first. To achieve this you will need to do it a couple of times as you never get all of the fluid out of the torque converter when draining. Also check to see if there is a replaceable filter in the auto box sump.
  9. Try reading my post #9 above!!! Others have given similar advice, you clearly haven't read the whole thread thoroughly.
  10. Give the Defiant pellets a go. They are a very well made domed, lubricated pellet available in 3 head sizes: - 4.48, 4.50 & 4.52. They do a trial pack so you can see which head size suits your barrel and gives you the best accuracy.
  11. Mandel Chokes could be another option. I haven't taken them up on it yet but they have offered to make me some chokes for an obscure Italian o/u.
  12. The two stars over PSF indicates that it is magnum proof (76mm cartridges) with lead shot, doesn't it?
  13. Are you sure it is not 1.200 Kg? My Italian O/U is marked KG1.500 which, I am told, is the weight of the barrels. There are no proof pressures marked. See the link on my previous post.
  14. I had a similar query on another forum. This might be of use: - http://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread.php?689188-Italian-12g-barrel-markings
