It still amazes me that folk still don't believe that the humble ounce of 7.5 is more than adequate for pigeons. One bloke on our pheasant shoot today killed several 40 yard pheasants with Eley Firsts.
I don't use anything else than 7.5 for woodies

Been after this chap for a week to stop his piglet stealing ways had to move a high seat to accomplish my task and my reward was some more deer stalking if I keep the vermin numbers down
Went stalking last Saturday and didn't see a single deer went back in the evening and saw 6 roe deer in the same field one of them was the buck I wanted to shoot during the rut but he did his disappearing act like normal. Back to my stalk it was getting dark and I had to get a move on or I would miss my chance to fill the freezer. The wind was in my favour for a change and I crept along the hedge for 200 yards got to a position to take the shot off the bipod waited for her to clear her young ones which seemed forever she took a couple of steps stopped and gave me the opportunity to take the neck shot she dropped on the spot I covered her for a few seconds to make sure then checked if I could take a younger doe all of them where stood skyline looking back so no safe shot and they wouldn't move off till I had revealed my self.
