  6. I completely agree. It was the consistency I was exploring hence the 20 charges measured.
  7. Good quality beam balance scales are accurate enough to load within 0.04g if setup correctly. Reducing parallax and magnifying with a tablet or camera/screen combo aids the precision of the scale reading.
  8. Some of you may like to see the test results I came up with after weighing on my 505 scales and checking them against a high quality electric scale. https://www.facebook.com/prshooting/posts/1377123355678810:0
  9. Hello folks. Just thought I'd share my first test results with my new 20 Practical https://www.facebook.com/prshooting/posts/1327200794004400
  10. Hi guys. We had a great day on Sun testing different cals including a sweet 338 Lap and comparing top optics. https://www.facebook.com/prshooting/posts/1310513935673086 Regards Si

  14. That would be very productive I've no doubt but it's not my bag. I'm a gun man. Helping farmers with pests needs to be of interest to the person offering the free service. 😉
  15. Only 2820 which is fairly mild. 👍🏽
  16. Hey John Yeah that spot needed a cull. Get your rifle ready for spring buddy. 😉
  17. Thanks for the nice comments. I've been shooting longer ranges for probably around 7-8 years now. With an accurate rifle and load it's a case of using a ballistic app and wind reading. It's not as difficult as some think once you have the correct gear and can apply a few fundamentals.
  18. Hey fella. I'm using a Swarovski X5 5-25. The way I see this calibre to quarry suitability argument is that if the backstop is safe and the selected bullet produces humane kills (adequate expansion) then there's no issue. The attaction for me is to use a level of skill to make accurate shots at longer ranges. I don't shoot at ranges where it's not possible (due to lack of accuracy or difficult winds) to make a prompt corrected follow up shot if required. The latter has no interest to me. All the best. Si
  19. Hey folks. I've not posted a video for a while so thought I'd resurface. 😉
  20. Hi Col The next step is to discover where the accuracy/stability node begins and finishes. In target five (222 50g vmax) it is clear to see that it is close to the node centre. I would test either side by 0.4 moving in 0.2's to fully deduce where the node begins and ends. You can then ensure that you have the node centre and tune it with OAL if required to increase accuracy.
