Superb chips again!
You are fast becoming the 'chipmaster' for sure.
Branston beans I assume?
-
Favourites in order!
Nicknaks (hot and spicy and the rib flavour)
Frazzless
Fish and chips (the ones in the small bag, evidently getting smaller)
Chip sticks
Smiths
Walkers I would agree the taste and texture has changed and not for the better in my opinion.
Watsits now seem very poor with a mouthfull in a bag and they just don't taste the same. Bring back the good old E numbers, my palate yearns for them.

Some fried cabbage such as sovoy, that would add greenery and give it that further asian twist.
-
For all the Phooey fans!
Myself included.
Ditchy that is a great use of some packet noodles, what a quick and simple dish.
Well done sir!

I have placed my hand on his chair and writing desk that he took with him when he was exiled to St Helena. Tried to get some of that 'Napoleon VIbe'
By account our great lord Nelson knew strategically that we would be stuffed trying to engage the frenchies on land, the english being the superior naval strength, we took to the water, and gave them 'a good old drubbing' at Trafalgar.
Jolly good!

Maybe pass on the fermented stuff then.

The greater the entropy in relation to two footed travel for sure.
It sounds like Amsterdam by the posts.
Scully, if you like such things as cured fish, have a bash at the rolled mop herring which is a common snack.

All the best John and hope you have a wonderful day.
Long may you captivate us with your outings both present and past. 👍

I remember my Barnett Diablo. I used to pull the rubber back that far, even with the wrist support at times it would flick the wrist back knackering up the shot.
All great fun.
Rayo, keep us posted on your 'rubber bandypult' exploits.

Ah Ditchy
At times you post up something that I have not had in an age, I now need steak and kidney pud and it will be on my taste buds for weeks until I am satiated!

Not Poodle!

I have said it before Ditchy, you certainly have some very enviable culinary skills and that looks delicious. Egg fried rice is no easy cook in my opinion (if you catch my drift) and you certainly appear to have done it justice here. All ingredients look perfect presentation. 👍👍👍

I find myself returning to this video every now and then, I posted it up a few years back and thought I would put it up again for those that like this sort of thing.
A short animation by artist Steve Cutts.
A classic in which I am sure in some way will resonate with most.
It never gets old!

Another superbly presented ravioli.
Looks delish!
-
What a fascinating account, hell knows, I don't think I could of done it.
Very humbling!
Thank you harry for taking time to post.
-
A very well presented plate that is.
I am salivating!
-
With a good dosing of black pepper, that gets my thumbs up. 👍

That plate looks delicious ditchy, the chips being the winner in my humble opinion, they look like a 'waxy' spud type which I tend to think makes a great chip.

Posted a link for your article MM.
https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/23888900.farmers-paid-not-keep-pigs-bad-news/
Taken from the article.
'Natural England had imposed a halt on new housing in a large area of Norfolk until the authorities could come up with a way of reducing the levels of pollution in local rivers.'
'And by reducing the amount from agriculture - by paying a farmer not to keep pigs near two major rivers on the southern outskirts of Norwich - officials will be able grant permission for 5,000 homes elsewhere.'
A economic loss for the area, green land out of use and sucking of the public purse.
I lost a permission about 10 years ago which was around about 60 or 70 acres that was sold for housing development, it took the farming brothers over 20 years to get planning permission and cost them a small fortune, but they got it in the end.
They sold it for for over 2.5million and retired.
Who wouldn't!

That is very interesting apparatus John and thank you for posting it up as per harrycat request.
A moderate wind and a bit of drizzle here overnight, better this morning with only a light wind and no rain.
Tons of rain in the past month, in my 50 plus years here I never known a very local spot to flood so frequently. I drove through it the other morning and it was akin to the infamous 'rufford ford' and by the next morning the police had caudoned it off so I had to detour. Sadly for several houses in the spot they are flooded out again and again, they now leave the sandbags in place all year round.
I am constantly astonished at the sheer volumes of rain that can fall, our small 8x6 office in the garden can fill the 100 litre water butt from 24 hours of heavy rain roof run off.

Patient Woof Woof.
Hoping for leftovers.
Me thinks there will be none!
