  3. We are looking for another 2 guns with working dogs for our rough shoot located in the Highlands. We put down some pheasants and occasionally partridge to have some walked up days through out the season with some mini drives included. We also have some duck flights over 2 ponds and Pigeon shooting also out with the game season. This is quite a relaxed syndicate where we just enjoy a walk about with the dogs and shoot some pheasants. PM for full details
  4. Thanks very much for the feedback and advice lads its appreciated I think ive got most of it covered. I think I will give it a go with maybe just dumping a pile of barley in the shallow edges early on and just observe at the start of the season. Then probably feed daily or set up an auto feeder. As for the hides thats a good point with moving them so the look towards the western sky. We have a few hides in place but will probably put in a couple more to give more options depending on wind etc. The pond has an island which is good so another idea was maybe to improve the cover on the island to encourage nesting.
  5. I am just looking to reach out to PW members for some advice/help on improving a flight pond. We have a couple of flight ponds that we are putting a bit of work into. We have had some good flights off the ponds and just looking to Improve them further. If anyone has any tips or advice this would be much appreicated or even if there are any members local to the highlands that have experience with ponds that would be maybe interested in coming along for a look they would be most welcome. It would also be good to meet some of the local forum members. I know that the main thing will be to feed the shallow margins regularly and not to overshoot the ponds. Anyways I look forward to hearing of any advice that you guys may have Cheers Jamie

A couple of the lads work away so we will arrange a couple of walked up days which will be during week days so that for anyone who misses a shoot and the lads that work away get there moneys worth. 13. Pheasant/Partridge Syndicate looking for guns for 2017/2018 Season. 8 Shoot days, Stand 1 Walk 1 2 pheasant pens and 7 partridge pens 2 Duck ponds Vermin Control Additional Walked up boundary days may be organised with also pigeon shooting on offer. We usually have quite a few geese coming into the stubble fields during winter months also. We are looking for guns that will help bring the shoot on to its full potential. Guns with dogs preferred. 6 work party days required each season and first year probation. Syndicate under new management so a lot of work and improvements have gone into the shoot this season with game cover, excavator and mulcher hired in to open up rides and improve drives. Input of tracks for better access. So we have cut back on bird numbers this year to allow for these improvements so that we can take the shoot forward. This year 500 pheasants have just been put to wood and 200 partridges are on order for later on in the year. However as all our expenses have already been covered for this season then if we get any new guns in the coming weeks then we will be adding to the partridge numbers. I think i have covered most PM for any more information. Jamie
