Rachael the Sniper.

Hey everybody. It's not fun admitting i cannot get hit much while pigeon shooting, down the line. Is there any tips on how to get better sooner rather than later, without going to lessons? Its a lot harder than one would expect, a lot of fun. But any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. I got a new firearm, shotgun to be exact. Over and under. I got friendly with FRD. I traded old one in and bought new one. He said that he will do the paper work for me and off i went. I got a call from my FEO on Monday saying, Did you get a new firearm? I said yes. FEO said the FRD filled the serial number incorrectly and will you drop form over to station. I have done this. Now i wait. So question Is. Can i go clay shooting without my FAC but with my own firearm? X

Alright. I have been successful in taking my issue to my RFD. I got my deposit back and got it placed on a new shotgun. Oh Lord its amazing. I wish I could get my rifle but i need to join a gun club or aquire land. I collect my Gun tomorrow for Christmas! I shall upload a picture of it when aquired. Merry Christmas everyone.

Thanks for the reply. My .22 Hatsan is sitting in a Gun shop now as i type with my name on it. Its difficult to wake up everyday and it not being in my Gun safe, tucked away beside my shotgun. My keys question is will it REMAIN there until i join a club. This makes me feel very sad. Because its needs loved and cleaned. Thanks.

Could anyone help me here. I can't seem to find anything online to help me. I got my FAC ☺ 5 months and 3weeks ago. I aquired for a 12 gauge and a hatsan .22. I failed on my land i had down to shoot on. Due to the small size and high population. I could only join a clay pigeon shooting club in order to receive my shotgun. They allow shotguns but not .22's.But They only allow .22 if you in an actual gun club. I have not been given my rifle, even though I paid for it. Do i have to wait a year or something first, then am I awarded it? In showing good behaviour.

Everybody. Drum Roll please. FAC arrived today! I cried with my husband and I am so happy! I got it for Clays only. When we get land authority, we'll get rifle. Tomorrow. Shotgun will be in the Safe. Thank God. Ps? Does anyone know the price of shotgun cartridges these days?

Hey Everyone. Wait...wait. Yes! I could have got FAC sorted, after all. FEO told me today that it should be up to 2 weeks wait Untill FAC is obtained. I am going to be able to Snipe things now! Two weeks. Two weeks. Im excited about this now. Thank you everyone. Rachael. X

No! Got a call from the FEO today. He said the land i entered to shoot on failed. He wouldn't tell me why. He said I have been approved and all is needed is authority to shoot on land. I have a friend who had 14 Ac. I thought it would be ok but clearly not. What do i Do?!? I dont know how to get permission from a stranger? I think I am gonna curl up in a dark room and cry for a few days.

Thank you. I will try to be patient lol i find this to be difficult. It seems that its the longest wait of my life. When it arrives i am going to be so HAPPY i might cry. No i WILL cry! My Gun's. I stated that they would be used, for vermin control and target shooting. My FEO made a second return to look at extra security instalments, IE padlock on the back gate and house locks. On that very second re-turn, he said. We cannot see or find anything, to give us a reason why Not, to award you your Grant. That surprised me. I did send the PSNI a email two weeks ago, asking if everything was fine and was there any problem? The message I got was, Your application is being processed and you will hear from us as soon as it is complete. Can you believe, i am still not sure, if i will be granted. Talking to someone about this, really does help. Thank you. Rachael.

14 weeks from interview with the FEO, i hope it doesn't take that long for me. It's 7 weeks for already through And the waiting continues here in Belfast. I so hope its next week. Enjoy your weapons.

Thanks for the reply, Gentleman you are. Hmmmm....close to a year. Well, in a way, I feel better already. I really, really hope it is here soon because your right. My head is nearly turned inside out with the wait. The FEO vist was excellent, very positive inspection. I am more concerned with it being rejected after all this wait OR if i was to be rejected. Is waiting 7 weeks normal for processing first FAC? Single barrel shotgun and Hatsan Torpedo. 22 rifle. Anyone? Thanks
