  1. Elliot

    Berlin

Did both Berling and Prague in the last year, both great cities. Following on from the post about the museum of terror in Berlin, the museum of communism is certainly worth a look in Prague. Rather sombre but certainly very interesting.
  2. As per this post, I've got an escort that had the same problem. A smear of schmierfix and they've been good ever since.
  3. Hi and welcome, just south of Derby from yourself. Elliot.
  4. Cheers, I shall try as Steve has suggested since it's worked with his, if I have no luck it'll be a slightly larger diameter bolt and nut to be sure! Right oh thanks, I'll get it ordered up!
  5. Haha I knew there'd be someone! I make no bones about it, it's a (very) cheap and cheerful gun! Edited to say that I know you were speaking in jest, sarcasm doesn't convey too well!
  6. Cheers, that's what I had in mind myself - did you use something like this for the stock? Also where about's is your located? Don't want to go drilling into something important... Thanks.
  7. Hi, it's a synthetic stock. I'm guessing on drilling a small pilot hole and letting a wood screw self tap. Just wanted to check here first though before I start ordering parts and drilling my gun! Thanks.
  8. Cheers gents, I assume it's the wood screw type I need, rather than machine screw? Thanks Steve, already got one of those on order. It was the swivel for the stock I wanted to check on. Thanks Elliot.
  9. Hi all. Recently brought a Hatsan Escort as a rough gun, save worrying about damaging my O/U when shooting over the fields. As per the title really, need some advice on fitting a gun sling. I know you have to change the magazine cap to one with a swivel and then I gather you drill into the stock to fit the other one. This is probably a very basic question but a quick search online seems to bring up two different types - screw and stud swivel's. Do I need one in particular or could I use either of them? Also anyone on here who's already done this, would you mind posting up a photo so I can gauge where I need to drill the hole once I've got the necessary parts. Thanks in advance, Elliot.
  10. Interesting points raised gents, I certainly put myself within the aforementioned 99% although it's generally a clean break rather than 'chipping' the clay. I generally have no issues with swapping to heavier loads, say 27g to 32g, or indeed swapping guns, I'm happy going between O/U - S/A to SxS (certainly on the easier clays that I was missing the 21g at first). I think it can perhaps just be put down to a mental thing then rather than physical, I'm certainly not that good haha! And on the clays in question I'm not sure they were far enough away to qualify the difference in fps, an interesting point though! Elliot.
