  1. 4 last night all surrounding release pens on cut barley and rape fields, one on the bottom had slight case of mange . called all 4 in using a new primos hand call its quite effective to say the least the first 3 ran to it, however the 4th was not interested at all and was shot at about 130 yards. All shot with a .22/250 and a lamp
  2. Does anyone have any ferrets for sale on here as they seem to be very scarce on other forums at the moment? my mate is looking for 2 - either hobbs or gills it doesn't matter neither does the colour or breeding as long as they are from working parents and have been fed raw meat and not cuddled
  3. Yeah mixing is fine its all to do with you pattern and field craft at the end of the day. I shot 106 on friday and 96 on sat (5 hour afternoons both ) i had hypa-flaps on the rotary, sillosocks out in the field along with shells and odd full body, like everyone says i tend to bring the decoys in when the deads keep coming as nothing beats the real thing and when on stubble it is so easy to just open their mouths and force it onto the stubble so they look like their feeding But personally i wouldnt say you need full bodies unless lofting etc just to bulky to carry over shells that work just the same
  4. 1 with shotgun decoying on Saturday and my 2 mates shot 4 last night with .22-250 Total 475
  5. Here's a Cub we shot on Saturday evening about 7pm - we had shot a pigeon that landed on the far left hedge row must have been sat there for 3 hours the pigeon whilst we were constantly letting shots off. then we saw a vixen come out the hedge and take the pigeon into the hedge row so my mate crept down the rape field sat about 20 yard off it down wind and sqeaked ( just off hand as didn't have caller ) and this little cub popped out he gave it one in the head and it was down. went back out last night to sit for the vixen but no luck will try again tonight (Y) all in all was a good day and a nice bonus to a bag of 96 that we shot and 89 picked (Y) by far left i mean the hedge row to the top left of photo our hide was literally to the right of this photo (Y) he shot it near enough just of the corner of the hedge behind us ..
  6. Me and a friend got a call from our local farmer one day to say that his chickens had been vanishing one by one over night. ( this farm is well looked after from a terrier man and ive only seen one fox in 4 years. ) To say i was slightly excited to have this call for once would be an understatement and we both jumped at the opportunity to sit out with the shotguns. We arrived at about 5.30pm and spoke to the farmer about where he had seen it over the past few days lurking round. It was coming from a woodland with a brook course running through the middle that backed straight onto one of his yards ( this wood also has a small pheasant release pen ) . But no problems with pheasants as of yet, we could easily spot the run it was using to come out of the woodland to the back of the yard and decided to set up just slightly off ( 30 yards ) to the side of it ( down wind ). I put the Icotec Fox caller out in the field the other side of the yard with a dead rabbit ( attached to some fishing line to its hind leg ) and put the mouse call on as it is just a higher pitched version of the cotton tail. Within literally 10 mins the vixen appeared but was very hesitant to come out at first this must be 6:45 pm by now after a long talk and thoughts on setting up. It sat on the edge of the woodland so i slowly turned the volume of the call down and slightly tugged the fishing line to show a bit of movent in the rabbit. at this moment the vixen came running out almost to quick and well it got 2 42g 3's from layvale ( full choke ) pretty swiftly at about 35 yards. I know that this will never happen again on here though and the terrier man was not very happy but like the farmer said it needs to be done whether it was him or us ! Not good with storys but hey hoe thought id share my most recent as i always prefer to sit for one with a shotgun over going out with a rifle ! the farm is on the back left of the picture and the icotec was 30 yards out in the right of the field . The vixen appeared about 40 yards up the edge of the woodland on the background just need the lure attachment for the icotec now
  7. 27 so far this year. 9 in Live traps / Mrk 4 fenn traps in my chicken run . And 18 fishing with an air rifle (BSA Ultra - r10) on a syndicate 1089 I had 4 quails killed over one night last year due to rats -.-
  8. Hi Steve, You are right we do not manufacture these anymore, But we do have 2 left from when we used to stock/sell them so if your Bank stick method does not work out for you, just give us a call and we can arrange to get one to you. Good luck either way
  9. Ok, i understand and agree that it has happened a lot with other makes and designs from other company's and i advise people to do their research on the material the jacket is made from before purchasing . And I wish you all the best with the Enforcer Decoy range. Its nice to see new products still being developed on the market.
  10. Because of the success of the Sillosocks decoy we have introduced a slip over UV Enhanced jacket that can be fitted over your existing shell or full bodied decoy, thus giving you a less expensive option than replacing them completely. The Sillosocks Pigeon decoy jacket still carries with it all the same UV enhancement and is made from the same high detail non glare Tyvec. If you get them dirty you can even wash them in the washing machine (low heat and not suitable for tumble drying). Fortunately we do sell UV Jackets that do NOT go pink 'after a few days' I have used mine on over 20 occasions now and have had them for almost a year, without any discoloration or problems. And many others have. I can honestly say we have never had any returned for 'going pink' either, not to say i haven't heard of others on the market going pink after a few weeks.
  11. Alright sorry i didnt realise. £100 takes it
