Evening all looking at getting into pigeon shooting so will be starting to slowly buy all the equipment over time ive just taken delivery of two Dj decoy terminator pigeon bouncers & will hopefully be picking up some half shell decoys at the south yorkshire shooting show at the end of this month. Can anyone recommend a good hide net with poles etc & drum seat to get started with? & anything else i might need? Cheers steve

Hi everyone been for a scout around my area i know pigeon season is slowing down this time of the year but in the fields near me ( Cheshire ) there still seems to be a lot of planted maize crop (sweetcorn) some looks to have formed and some not . I don't have the permissions currently as a still new to pigeon shooting ( will be going on the knock soon) but once its been cut is maize crop any good to shoot over?? Cheers steve
  4. Hi all looking at having a go at beating ive never done it before so completely new to it but im a quick learner & don't mind getting stuck in . Anything around Cheshire , Macclesfield , Peak district way live in stockport so not a million miles away im free most Saturdays if this helps Cheers steve

  7. Thanks yellow bear I will check them out .I was at the boar this morning didn't do to well tho on the clays. Do you do much pigeon shooting? The peak district is mainly pasture land I've found not many people grow on it I imagine the majority would be rook & corvid shooting and ferrals around barns etc.
  8. Thanks everyone! yellow bear i shoot at the boar clay ground just off the woodhead pass near glossop. Im going to try get to cold springs clay ground in buxton on the wednesdays evenings as they do a practise session through the summer months & the main shoot on the sunday morning . The nearest ground to my house would of been the little mill shooting ground but it has recently closed due to legal reasons i believe.

Hi everyone thought i would introduce myself to this brilliant forum im stephen from the stockport area recently got my shotgun certificate after having a go over the years at clay day experiences. I have been clay shooting for around five months now and love the sport. A lad at my local clay ground mentioned the site as he goes out pigeon shooting in the summer months im hoping to tag along soon with him . Looking forward to reading up on the sport & hopefully get out and have a go myself! Cheers steve
