I've not had harkila myself but I know they own seeland as well . I've had nothing but problems with seelands kraft force trousers not even six months old and I've gone through two pairs having them sent back again as the stitching has failed in the exact same place as the first pair. Defiently do a review on harkila before you go to the expense!

Not been out yet but will update next Saturday at lymm area . Not seen many about when beating the other week

Lyavale express pigeon power were the cheapest cartridges around near me when I priced them a few weeks ago perhaps it may be worth ringing your local gunsmith for a price they are a very good cartridge I used them last summer they are 29gram 6s fibre or plastic -

Yes that is the only problem with just cartridges the postage often kills any savings but perhaps if the OP it close to them he could collect in person saving the £15 postage -

I've a picture of it on my phone but it won't let me upload it as the file is to big . It's has game scene engraving on the side plates . But it hasn't got the black and gold colouring on the side like the jubilee models that Google & gun trader show . I was told it was up for £750 but I didn't contact the seller to double check. if you like I could email the picture to you? Have managed to find a link to one on gun star that has sold https://www.gunstar.co.uk/lincoln-prestige-20-bore-gauge-over-and-under/Shotguns/903298
-
There's a lincoln prestige for sale in my local club when I Google it tho it's only comes up with the lincoln prestige jubilee models as if the standard prestige had never been made
-
With a £800 budget I would try pick up a lanber, lincoln or even a nice winchester 101 for around 400-500 mark and spend the rest of the budget on lessons , clays & cartridges
-
Cheers chaps I will pay a visit to my local gunsmith and pick up a few more boxes of cartridges & dig out the camo wear 👍

Any tips? Just done a seasons beating & have been given roost shooting on the land for February What loads are best? I normally use 29gram 6s pigeon powers but some have said to use a little heavier to get through the branches etc
-
Muck boots! I got mine in the sale meant to be £110 I think got them for £28 delivered to my door just done a full season of beating & shooting in them & use them for dog walking everyday
-
I'd get a five cabinet at the very least! I speak from experience I got a three gun cabinet off eBay for £80 new delivered it can only hold two guns at best as I had the same thought as you I would only have the one shotgun....I am now in the market for a second shotgun and it's not even been twelve months since I got my cert through & I could see myself getting a third in the future easily

Hello & welcome to pigeon watch if you need a club to shoot air rifles / rifles at please give the boar clay ground a look it's near crowden just through glossop around 25 minutes away from marple. They may also be able to help with getting your f.a.c but it would be for target shooting only not open ticket -
Would You Say Anything ? If So What ? .
Stephen-H replied to marsh man's topic in General Shooting Matters
Think that is the general thought in are beaters group chat on Facebook I think a lot of us will be leaving for somewhere new in the coming season! This is only my first season at this shoot while I really enjoy the day with all the beaters I've met at this shoot over the season I think we are just fed up with the guns and the way the day is organised the gamekeepers hands are pretty much tied as the landowner/shoot captain simply will not let her run the day as she would like to & insist on running drives wrong & putting guns where they aren't needed and does not want anyone to back gun the woods as we knock them through!
