  1. Selling my browning Maxus as I shoot better with my 525 so it’s not getting used.Just stripped it down for a pre sale clean and oiled the wood as well.12G wood stock and grip30” Barrel3” Chamber2+1 (SGC)4 chokes including the extendedChoke keyAll shims/extendersTrigger lockHigh performance steel proofBrowning hard case£650 plus RFD transfer or collect in Colchester (weekends only)
  2. Just realised I never staged it was a 12G 🤦‍♂️
  3. Hmm, thanks for telling me. I'll try and sort something else out.
  4. Up for sale is my Browning. I bought it in 2017 from Francis Lovel who said it was a GTI, I have recently been told it’s actually a GTS (I believe a little rarer). It has been mostly used for clays with the occasional peg shoot. Belgium made 32” barrels 2 3/4 chamber Multi choke (invector system) will come with a skeet and improved cylinder. Nitro proof Weight 8lbs 2oz Game scenes either side. SN says it’s a 1999 gun but has plenty of life left in it, but the barrels externals show its age. The only reason I’m selling is because I've bought another identical one that can shoot high velocity/performance steel gun as I mostly wildfowl these days, and wanted a gun I can use for both clays and wildfowling. I’m after £500. It it goes for the asking price, I'll include an old slip. Collection from Colchester or RFD at buyers cost. Payment via bacs or PayPal plus fees. Edit: As picture attachments anre not working I have added them to photobucket https://photobucket.com/u/Fods_Ak/a/f08be2cd-d14f-4e2b-845c-87f7a45a360c
  5. I have been told this may actually be a GTS which is harder to find.

  7. I’ve never done it but have always been interested in it, especially as my dog isn’t a game bird and I have no room for another. I’ve always been put off the idea though as doing it on the Severn Estuary seems somewhat suicidal. This guy makes it look somewhat easy!
  8. Don’t worry too much mate, you have a couple of years of being an associate. I joined last season and only managed to get out once, this coming season is the decider for me. Bird ID 4 marshes to shoot and then the panel!
  9. My first season, but was away with work until January. I managed a duck and a Canada, although the duck sank when it hit the water. My shooting however was probably the worst I’ve ever shot on my last outing though. I blame the semi auto...
  10. I work away from home. North Devon in the week, Gloucestershire on the weekend.
  11. I assume you’re having more success than me!
  12. Good evening, I thought it was time I joined here, as I start to get more and more involved in all disciplines of shooting. Hopefully someone locally will be nice enough to shoot pigeons although that’s yet to happen. I currently deerstalk and have just got into wildfowling having clay shot for the last 17years.
  13. Good evening, What is the best way to shoot a coastal river? I’m on the river Taw which is particularly abundant in Wigeon a convenient 5 min drive from work. However I’ve been a few times and they are either always on the edge of the water or a few meters close to it. The issue arises, by the 100m off open mudflat between the nearest cover and the waters edge. Meaning any approach closer than say 70m has them flying to the other side of the estuary. Other ducks do come further to the cover, but they mostly shell ducks that can’t be shot. I’m a complete wildfowler novice so my question is this. Is there a way to decoy them to attract them closer to cover, I.e. away from the waters edge? Aside from going to another Marsh, or building a hide that would spend 12hrs a day submerged and would need a covered approach to I can’t see any other options.
