  1. I've just got back from there and they told me it's not worth it. Very honest of them so I'm selling as is.
  2. Selling my Matador that I bought as a project. Stripped and refinished wood. Single trigger (selectable), choked half and full, semi pistol grip stock and beavertail forend, raised ventilated rib and the most powerful ejectors I've ever seen. Original AYA butt plate. LOP 14 3/4 inch. Barrels 28 inches, chambers 2 3/4 inches, bores immaculate. Fires both barrels simultaneously if selected to fire the right (most open) barrel first! Works fine if selected to fire left barrel first. This issue is beyond my repair capabilities and it's not economically viable to pay to have it rectified. These single trigger Matadors seem to command a premium so with the issue it has £150, a bargain for anyone who has the skills. Located near Banbury
  3. There's a few of them in the Holts sealed bid.
  4. I've got a couple of Briley extended ported chokes in 3/8, used to use them in my Fabarm which I think use the same choke pattern.
  5. Searching for older style externally threaded chokes for an 80s era Franchi 12 gauge.
  6. It certainly will, having a play around last night it did cross my mind that perhaps the wire spring did not have enough tension in it.
  7. Hello all, I was hoping that I could tap into the combined pigeonwatch knowledge to try and fix an issue I'm having with my AYA Matador. It has started firing both barrels at the same time. It has a selectable single trigger and the problem seems to occur when it is set to fire the right barrel first. Initially I thought it was probably a worn sear or something but upon taking it apart and having a look at how it works I think it's the trigger mechanism itself causing it. The barrel selector button moves the pin connected to the rocker via the thin wire and the rocker is pulled either left or right when the trigger is pulled. Only that the rocker seems to push on the wrong sear on occasion or pushes both simultaneously and I can't figure out why. Any ideas?
  8. I lived in a static caravan a few years ago, due to lack of space I fitted a cabinet horizontally on the floor fixed to the caravan frame, in an attempt to hide it I modified a sofa with storage space beneath it so that the cabinet fit. This was satisfactory to my FEO at the time.
  9. It wasn't until the 90s that they switched from the lever safeties to the push button ones and the levers were recalled. All levers could potentially fail at some point. I managed to find a factory push safety trigger group to swap out. Also you'd probably be surprised to hear that the franchi folding stocks are now worth an obscene amount of money, especially in the states. They sell for $3k, almost as much as the guns themselves! I've fired a few autos that do feel like wriggling cats but my SPAS cycles so fast that the movement of the action isn't even noticeable.
  10. I have a SPAS too, with a cross bolt safety, this is about 1.4kg lighter, handles much differently. As far as I can tell the trigger groups are identical, apart from the PA7 lifter being polished metal and not black. I swapped the trigger groups over and both guns appear to function. So I shall be cautious of the lever safety.
  11. I have just acquired my first proper pump, a Franchi PA7. It has an external choke system but did not come with any, just a thread protector. I am struggling to find much info on these chokes, does anyone know where I could find some?
  12. I've got an old AYA Matador, single trigger with selectable barrels. It works great but the first trigger pull is significantly heavier (too heavy) if the right hand side barrel is selected to fire first, which I believe is the most open one. With the selector set to fire the left hand side first it feels fine. Why would this be?
  13. Brand new cartridge bag, shoulder strap, carry handle, zipped side pockets. Can fit 250 cartridges. £25.
  14. Electronic ear defenders, unopened in box. Noise reduction rating (NRR) 25dB. £55.
