  1. As ranges safety certificates are no longer required a range is any piece of land designated as such. If your FAC states for target shooting and you only shoot targets you are complying with the law, if your FAC states target and vermin then you can do both. The police may not be happy, but being happy and law compliance are two different things. I have a commercial 22 bullet trap in my garden and it sits in font of a 7 foot high concrete garage, so has a decent backstop, also observes the 50 foot from public highway rules. I invited my neighbors to see what I do and they are ok with it, I do not shoot when they are using their gardens, I only shoot school days between 10am and 4pm subsonic ammo only or CCI quiet22 The main issue would be planning regulations, however you could still shoot 26 times a year without the need for planning
  2. You require a licence to take beavers, application can be made through the dot gov website. Be prepared to answer a lot of questions on the form. I would also run it past your FEO as vermin condition might not cover beavers It suggests using a trap then humane dispatch
  3. I use a Remington 700 LTR in 223 has a 1 I 9 twist and fires 69gn perfectly. Very accurate rifle, fluted barrel produces a 1 inch group at 300 yards with reloads Mike
