  1. There are plenty of volunteers to accompany the younger shooters so hopefully we'll have some new blood or at the least some more folk with an understanding that guns are not scary.
  2. In the 60s it was an everyday occurrence to see Boy Scouts with one of those on their belts. No one even considered it odd to be openly carrying a knife back then. Knife crime as far as I'm aware was not a problem. People are the problem, not tools.
  3. Sycamore Shooting Ground near Sheffield is running a Young Shooters Day on 20th July 2024. I know very few details as I'm on holiday at that time, but: I belive guns and instruction available at no charge and ammunition is discounted. Details car be found on that Facebook thingy or ringing Richard the organiser on the Sycamore number. Since Richard took over the ground keeps getting better, each week traps are changed twice. He's also open to suggetions if you want a particular bird shown as long as its before he sets the traps not after. Very few no birds now, last week just 1 in a 50 bird shoot.
  4. There's at least one ground I know that at certain times allows Scouts to go round picking up. Whatever they pick up they then shoot for free. Certainly forward thinking in encouraging younger shooters.
  5. I remember Normark from the early 70s, excellent knives. Just about everyone I knew had one back then
  6. Sorry, not be down that way again till Oct/Nov - maybe.
  7. It's been like that for maybe last 5 years with crows on my perm. They feed mainly on grain very early or very late, sit in the trees during the day and occasionally snack. No need to feed when it's free and available at the grain silos outside working hours. Crows scare the pigeons to other places so no pigeons. Only time it's different is when the farmer ploughs or seeds, we then have a limited window of opportunity that may only be a short few hours. I can only speak for my 1 perm as my others are now mostly housing estates or unshootable because of the housing estate in the next "field".
  8. Swaffham or Dereham area, from 1st to 20th July I'll be at Chalk Farm Clays Tuesdays and Sundays if that helps
  9. .410 3" magnums, Fiochhi, Gamebore and Lyalvale Express. One fired. Cartridge cases only. Free Collection only S Yorks or maybe Norfolk during July.
  10. That I now understand as the one I've used before bounced back, thank you.
  11. @Conor O'Gorman Not all candidates are listed. The BASC website is out of date. No response from emailing BASC Please amend.

Greener, English hammer gun from 1898. Miroku SBS and a KOFs Sceptre SXE Game. All 12 bore. To be perfectly honest it doesn't look like anything sells as it's all repeat adds every time I look. Still it was worth a chance, free to advertise, so nothing lost.

Still for sale, no bids, no views, no interest 😄

I think so, costs nothing to advertise, no final valuation fee and no length of time to sell. Just 9% of the sales. Seems fair. I'll let you know if it's different if my gun sells.
