  1. I have a litter of GWHP at the moment they are two weeks old 6 bitches and 3 dogs I own and work both parents, top working blood lines in both pedigrees, .3 solid liver bitches like the Sire and the rest take after the Dam liver and white ticked. They have been docked and dew claws off, KC registered ,reared on good quality food with plenty of fresh meat, wormed and treated with spot-on, Pups reared in my house so get used to every day noise etc. I only breed from the best proven working lines keeping away from show dogs ,if you want to show your dogs don't come to me (my pups are docked so you cant show them in the UK )all my dogs are fit and able to do a full days work. I use my gwhp mainly for deer stalking .but they will work what ever you train them to do . The price is £600. Will try to get some photos on when they get a bit older, PM for further details have taken deposits on two at the moment, thanks for looking hy-flyer

  4. Hi if you have only had him for a few days give him time to settle before you start throwing water etc at him , have a word with any nabours you might have and say you have a new dog that might make a bit of noise for a few days and he should quieten down once he has settled in. once he starts to trust you and bond hopefully he should stop barking, every dogs different and most are quite when left so i hope yours settles before long ATB hy-flyer
  5. Hi, my GWHP bitch successfully whelped TUE morning, started 9 o,clock ended up with 6 bitches and 3 dogs ,i stayed up with her all wed night to make sure all the pups were getting a feed ,no problems at all and my dog has been a first class mother (wish all whelping was this trouble free )will be getting them booked in at the vets to get them docked this week. THE sire of my pups is my dog Max a solid liver dog with a bit of white on his chest , he,s 4yrs and his training is coming on nicely he has made a first class stalking dog and i am now doing a bit of rough shooting with him ,his pedigree is Wiggmansburgh, Bryantscoft, etc, And the mother of the pups is also full of top working lines her father a Trudvang dog so i have high hopes of this litter of pups making good working dogs and look forward to training one or two ,that's why i love breeding good working dogs its the its the highs and lowe's of bringing the young ones on and hoping I,m improving the the working ability of my dogs , I have 3 solid liver bitches like dad and the rest are coloured like the mother liver and fleck , ATB hy-flyer

  7. IF the poultry belong to someone else its a cheap way of feeding your dog ATB hy flyer
  8. I Agree with kent , I have worked dogs for a long time now and i am still learning, i have had Lurchers, Game Terriers ,and gundogs and some just a raised voice is all it takes others it takes a bit more, you have to read the dog, and find the right key to work him ,you have to let the dog know your the head of the pack but he has to respect you, ATB hy-flyer
  9. Hi Kent My bitch that's due to whelp next week was sired by TRUDVANG NJORD . My dog MAX is trained to walk at my side when i go deer stalking and when he gets scent of a deer he lets me know but stays at my side , i have also trained him to sit under a high seat and not move until i come down ,if i pick up a gun he comes to my side with out me saying anything to him , I have been rotovating some of my land today, i let him and BUCK his son born last Dec come with me up the field while i worked the land Max found a place in the corner and just sat and watched me work for a couple of hours , once i give him the hunt command that's what he does, he is still learning , I did not get him till he was getting on for 2yrs ,his last owner could not do much with him, in fact i came close to shooting him he thought sheep and in fact all livestock fair game, I keep some sheep and i have poultry to train my dogs to leave them alone, Max does not bother any of them now, most of my dogs show an interest in poultry when pups , i let them follow me round while i feed and if one starts to chase a firm " NO" UNTILL THEY GET THE MESAGE . it helps if one of the old Cocks gives them a peck. My springer's and cocker pups are the worse for trying to chase my ducks, i have to keep an eye on them all the time until they grow out of it. Good hunting with your GWHP they take a bit more training than say a lab but they have to do a lot more but there worth it, ATB hy-flyer
  10. Hi, nice pup your getting and if you get the training right you should end up with a first class working dog , I OWN AND WORK THE SIRE TO YOUR PUP , he is my main stalking companion ,and without his help i would not shoot as many deer as i do . In answer to Kents question his blood lines are from real working dogs ,Btyantscroft ,Wiggmansburg, Andesheim,Wittekind, his pedigree is full of FT, WINNERS and the two GWHP ft. champions (up to now theres only two gwhp that are FT.CH. ) Max will be 4yrs this year and I have trained him for deer stalking ,(I like to train them for stalking first )now i have started to train him to work feather. I have 4 GWHP at the moment Max and a dog pup i kept from a litter from my bitch Tikka, born Dec, he is solid liver like max,and my two GWHP bitch,my second bitch is sired by a TRUDVANG Dog and i have mated her to MAX and she is due to whelp next week ,i look forward to seeing what she produces. I have tried puting some photos on but no luck, ATB hy-flyer

  12. First class pictures and good read ,nice buck . Cant wait for my next visit to scotland for a bit of stalking, ATB hy-flyer
  13. Hy , my advice don't be in a rush to take her out shooting this coming season will be to soon ,get the basics fully ingrained first SIT,COME BACK ,DROP at any distance ,AND retrieving the dummy's you want her to retrieve, then go on to cold game and then fresh shot birds . Then you,v got to train them to point ,that means the dog quarters its ground works up to its bird gos on point and stays on point until you tell it to flush the bird and SIT when bird flushes and stays sitting until you tell it to retrieve, and believe me these dogs will do all this IF TRAINED , the hunt point and retrieve dogs take a lot more training then a lab or spaniel and its not a two min it job ,but if done properly worth it with years of fantastic hunting. just my two pennyworth ( Trained my first GSHP in 1972 and Even won a few field trials ) Best of luck with your dog and enjoy her for years to come hy-flyer
