  6. Hi there! As many of you will know we took over Atherton Indoor Range (near Wigan and Bolton) a couple of months ago, and when we took over we inherited the previous owner's opening hours. We initially increased the opening hours to include Fridays (previous owner was shut on Fridays). We opened Fridays with our own opening hours of 12pm - 9pm. After trialling these extended hours and listening to requests from our shooters, we are pleased to announce that we are rolling out these new extended hours to cover the other open week days (wed and thurs). Our new opening hours are - Mon - closed Tues - closed Wed -12pm - 9pm Thurs - 12pm -9pm Fri - 12pm - 9pm Sat - 9am - 5pm Sun - 9am - 5pm For more details about AIR please see the 'about' section on our Official Facebook Page (you do not need a Facebook account to view this). We have listened to our shooters and responded to their needs, and we will continue to do so. We have many plans for AIR for the future, and will constantly seek to improve the shooting experience and expand what we offer. https://www.facebook.com/airgun.indoor.range
  7. Hello, I'm one of the two new owners of Atherton Indoor Range (AIR) in Greater Manchester and I'm trying to let people know about the changes in ownership and management, as well as the changes being made to the range. Atherton Indoor Range is a friendly all weather indoor range. The range is 42yds with a 10 metre pistol range. We have many different targets (spinners, bells sound reactive) as well as paper targets at varying distances, perfect for zeroing your gun. The range has something for everyone, whether you are a serious shooter, or just want a bit of plinking. We have just reduced range fees to £6, and there is no time limit set on the range, you can shoot all day if you have the energy! Free air fills for guns is provided. We are currently refurbishing the range to improve the facilities and the general shooting experience. We are building a new social area where you will be able to order hot food (hot drinks are already available), and watch a bit of TV or have a chat with your fellow shooters. We are also building what will be a fully stocked shop (pellets are already available at very competitive prices) so you will be able to try a gun before you buy it! Our opening times are - Mon - Closed Tues - Closed Wed - 2pm - 9pm Thurs - 2pm - 9pm Fri - 12pm - 9pm Sat - 9am - 5pm sun - 9am - 5pm We are open every bank holiday except Christmas and New Years Day from 10am - 5pm. Please note, the website has not yet been updated with the correct contact details and opening times. We hope to get this changed in the coming week, and we will make it clear on the website once it has been updated. If you wish to contact us you may use the email link on the website as this has been redirected to us, or just pop in for a chat and a look!

  9. Hi all, I'm Rich, and new to the PW forum. I'm a thirty-eight year-old airgunner, forager and general lover of all things country-sports. I've spent a long time shooting targets and plinking, and would be out taking some Woodies and Rabbits and other vermin, were it not for the lack of a permission to shoot on! I'm keen to meet other shooters/ hunters around these parts (or further afield; I have transport) for shooting, beer and enjoying the outdoors, so feel free to get in touch! Rich
