  1. Decided it's about time I got back into carving some sticks some might remember me from a way back so here goes got a couple of orders one for a cocker and another for a mallard drake only I didn't think about posting anything a here until I saw Holloways tufted so we'll have to see how this pans out. The wood for the spaniel was alder a much underrated wood for carving but for the mallard I have some pieces of black walnut kick around. . First a picture of the cocker so far still needs finishing lacquer to be applied. .
  2. Dear All, Some friends of mine and I are researching a fowling trip to Lewis and Harris next season and were wondering if anyone has any contacts up there for accom or guiding? Four or five of us looking for about four days of shooting. Cheers, OT
  3. Hi, As both my shooting jackets are camo, I am looking for another jacket not in camo. Also I am not wanting to burst the bank. I have been looking at the Ridgeline Grizzle and Mallard jackets and also the HSF Sherpa and Selkirk jackets and I cant make my mind up. This jacket will be used mostly for walked up, stand 1, beat 1 shooting. I am looking for something a bit lighter in weight than what I have and the info available on these jackets I think meets what I want but cant make my mind up. So any feed back good or bad from guys who wear them would be appreciated. I have already had some feedback from crainfield but some more would be good. Cheers BBL
