Hi All,

As there is a big comp on tomorrow skeet is off the menu so figured i'd have a go at trap but have never shot it before.

Just after any basic tips on how it's shot and also what chokes\carts i should be looking to use?

Cheers

Lots of going away birds, and it's easy.

If it's DTL, then use whatever chokes you have in it already, 1/4 is fine as are 8s or 7.5s. There's only 3 birds and treat them like a very flat Teal, so aim at middle of trap house roof, call PULL, then follow bird pull through it and bang.

If it's one of the others, it's slightly harder, but not that much. You won't need more than half choke and 7.5s.

You'll fall asleep halfway through your 2nd round. :D

Cheers Peter,

I have LMOD in at the moment, normally SKT. I thought they were between 1\2 and 3\4 but found out they are actually about 3\8 today so should be OK for trap?

I'd sooner shoot something than nothing at all

I know dtl is easy but I find it very hard give me a 35yd crosser any day at dtl I score apalingly but usually do well at the side trap I think I never get swinging at dtl and also I'm useless gun mounted to much pigeon shooting I suppose

A 10, Mr Logic was on a 14 i think. Somewhat better than my 4 at OT :good: the 3 of us did 9\75 in total for 140 odd carts lol.

We are going to leave OT alone and stick to DTL, ESK and ESP then go back to OT :)

We just have to learrn where we need to stand and which stand is shooting.

It was good to try different things though, i enjoyed the OT although the 9's were a bit of an ask lol.
