Went out on my own to look for a couple of Foxes, saw nothing in the first two fields so i sat on a horse jump and had a call, after 5 minutes of hand calling still nothing so i tried my fox call uk, which ive never realy used before, straight away a fox apeared at the far side of the next field, i moved to the gate and called again before flicking on the lamp. there it was sat 100yds away, 40grn Blitzking did its job

NICE HEALTHY VIXEN

Round a couple more fields and i see another 1 sat in a field of rape, this one wont come in so i took a standing shot off the sticks and missed, i saw another 2 foxes in this field but niether would stop,

Two field later and another 1 is sat in the rape, bu##er me i missed that 1 aswell, not happy now i set off with steely dtermination,

10 minutes later and i spot another Fox, this 1 is lieing down the far side of the field and wont budge, so the only option is a standing shot leaning against an oak tree, i hit this one right on the end of its bottom jaw at 150yds, it is one of the best conditioned Foxes i have ever shot

VERY FAT DOG

I then moved to a different part of the farm and in the second field as i sweep the lamp i saw, Badger,Badger,Badger,Badger,FOX,Badger,Badger,FOX,Bager

I dropped to the floor and shot the nearest Fox, 100yds and by the time id reloaded and shifted position everything else had vanished

ANOTHER NICE DOG

i saw another 3 Foxes in the next field but none of them hung around

Across the road, over a stream and theres another Fox, this one was being very cagey until i tried the Fox call uk again and then it trotted in like an obedient puppy. I stopped it at 100yds and hit it squarely in the chest, it ran 30 yds before dropping, on examination there was a 4" exit wound and its front leg was almost destroyed, how the hell it ran anywhere is amazing

NICE VIXEN

All things considered a very good night, pity i missed a couple but how boring would it be if we never missed

took the hornet out yesterday to zero, nice rifle to shoot and the trigger is to die for very light and effortless to pull. The rounds are hard hitting with no recoil.

Just sorting out what reloading gear i still need so i can make some loads up.

How much are you paying for your hornet bullets?

it would be nice to know how much cheaper it is to reload them

well i've just made a list of what else i need to complete my reloading outfit for both the .22 hornet and my .223 rem and it's @ £260 at the moment but thats every thing i will need.

Might be going to Nick (no-bull) on Sat to reloading Solutions to get it as i know #### all about it all

Not sure how much its going to cost to run the hornet should be cheaper than factory HMR ammo but it's more about accuracy and stopping power for me and this is best gained from reloading

Thanks for that mate

I think I shall give reloading a miss for now, at them prices I could shoot for 2 years or more for the amount I use the Hornet.
