Whitebridges
Lovely birds. We've got two resident populations of Golden Pheasant in the county. One near Watton and the other close to Sandringham. Enjoy, I hope you are successful with the breeds chosen.

Popgun
I work on a island in Poole harbour we have about 30 or 40 golden phesants they run wild the island is 35 acers all we do is put out feeders and drinkers for them they breed every year but are not very good mothers and the numbers stay about the same year in year out. we had a wild cock and hen turn up 2 years ago now we have 10 or 12 there much better mothers. hope yours do well. Ferretboy111
Saw my first wild reeves cock bird around mine the other day, god knows where he has came from. Are the birds just going to be kept as pets as ive never heard of anyone shooting pure goldens or silvers, apparently they prefer to run than fly. Pure white partridge hatching eggs sell for a fair price on Ebay! Also put up some pics, would love to see them. Ill take some more of my sexy japanese greens when the cock bird is fully coloured up. They are no bigger than a crow at the moment. Alex
happychappy246
they are pets for the moment i am going to use them mainly for eggs and chicks as the eggs go for a good price on ebay i only have one white partridge at the moment but i might inherit one at the end of the season if im lucky so they will be bred from and a few eggs will go on ebay i would like to realease a few on my local shoot but its illegal to realease them i think ? Ferretboy111
Its illegal yes to release pure goldens/reeves/ amherst etc, even pure japanese greens I think also. But im sure crosses can be released ok, or a few that you have reared may accidently escape Alex
