Aled
Advice here appreciated guys. I've got access to plenty of good old fashioned rough shooting ground, i'm very lucky, however i don't have access to any ponds or stillwater. I do however have access to a small stream ( a tributary of a well known sea trout triver). I do know the odd duck does visit the stream, i've seen them, although i've not shot one (never had the gun when i've seen one). Would putting a bit of feed down on the bank attract a few more? I'm not expecting a lot the chance of a shot or two during the season would be enough reward. Just something to add to the usual rough shooting game. Thanks in advance for any advice. rimfire4969
Don't see why not, i would feed in the margins if you have any where it will not just run off down stream, also any small islands or areas with water all around. Give it a go whats the worst that can happen, a waste of a £5 bag of corn.
COACH
Try the same thing with a bag of potatoes, cut them into pieces. They are better when they get a bit older and softer. The ducks love them.
Aled
Cheers guys, thought it may be worth a go, we'll get some potatoes and or corn and hace a crack. I'll place some on the margins of some of the sloping areas and see what happens. Tight Lines Aled
