Iwould suspect a loose connection on the circuit breaker that is buzzing .But you really need a qualified electrician to look at it .It may cost you if you don't know one , but will be cheaper ,and better than a possible fire . Hope this helps and isn't to worrying for you .

Any installation should be done to BS 7671 (i.e 17th edition). Approved document Part P of the building regulations says that works in 'special places' such as bathrooms and kitchen should be done by a 'competent' person and an installation cert issued or inspected and signed off by your local building control for a fee

There was a loose wire in the fuseboard and the MCB amperage wasnt big enough for the ring - which included the emersion heater.

The spark checked all the circuit, all the sockets, fuseboard etc and all is now well.

Thanks for the suggestions chaps :good:

I agree with Hw682, the work should have had a minor works certificte issued!!! Was he part P registered or was it a quick cash job wink wink nudge nudge!!!

The imersion in an ideal world should be on its own radial circuit also.

All the best and I hope all is fixed :good:
